My mate was telling me either Robbo or Dunstall said Tom Lynch (Adelaide) was the "white version" of Lance Franklin. Apparently his recovery attempt was even worse.

Any truth to this?

Yes was Robbo. After he said it he asked ‘was I allowed to say that?’ while laughing, casual racism at its finest.
