Seriously? Trolling? If someone adding some information on a topic about that person is trolling then wow.

You sound young and possibly meant no harm, but as a guide for the future, here are a few things that you should avoid doing:
  • rushing to tell a friend, acquaintance or stranger, that you are now having sex with his wife
  • delighting in being the bearer of bad news
  • revelling in others misfortune
  • voting Labor
  • being surprised that others don't find your unsolicited comments interesting, or relevant
I hope this is of some assistance.

Do you think he was posting alot on the Richmond board last year to congratulate them on Ivan Maric getting third in their B&F whilst Lynch played 6 games for 7 goals?

There is someone at work that I'd swear is a multi-millionaire because of the number of times she has had a win at lotto. I never hear that she loses, so I assume she always wins.

Hopefully our new friend takes the hint and holds onto his "information" before he goes down the same route as his Adelaide mate Jangofart or whatever it was (who is having a rest from posting in this thread).

(BTW Sunshine - I fixed that error in your post. Thank me later.)

Dont see why any Saints supporter would want to say anything negative about Lynch.
Yes, we picked him up as a reasonably high draft pick. And although he never really gave us anything the blame has to be shared between both parties. He didnt deliver and we didnt help by playing him out of position and never giving him the chance to string a few games together to find confidence.
The Crows ended up with a handy player to fill in for the injured Walker and we ended up with Newnes who looks like he could develop into quite a good player for us.
Thats works out to be a pretty good deal for both clubs i reckon. We need midfielders more than medium size forwards at the minute. Good luck to Lynchy but IMO Newnes will end up a better choice in the long run.

thats cute. tom lee just kicked two in a shit team, in only his 5th game. his first 5 games have netted:
Round 3: 1 goal
Round 5: 0 goals
Round 15: 3 goals 1
Round 16: 3 goals 3
Round 17: 2 goals

all whilst carrying a number of leg injuries, having an interrupted pre-season and adjusting to the rigors of the AFL in his first season

sure beats lynch!!!!!

hell i'd take maister ahead of lynch!!!
Salient post.

You could find dozens of examples of players who don't make it at one club , but for reasons known only to themselves , exceed at another.

What's the point of trying to get inside a footballers head???

I think this has been one of those gun trades that have worked out well for all players and clubs. Nothing more to see here.

I don't think the issue is us supporters making negative comments, its the Adelaide trolls coming on here to gloat is what is pissing people off...

Oh & for the record....

Newnes - 21 games for StKilda since being drafted
Lynch - 19 games for Adelaide since being traded

I'm more than happy with Newnes, regardless of what Lynch has done in his 19 games for Adelaide :thumbsu:

Absolutely. The thread has mostly been about whether we got the most out of Lynch, but it got derailed by a few Adelaide folk claiming some sort of higher ground when - as you say - we're more than happy with Newnes and Richmond have got great value out of Maric.

Some disappointing trolling by one or two Crows folk on here.

We are getting more out of Lynch than you did.
Richmond are getting more out of Maric than we did.
You are getting more out of Newnes than whoever Richmond would have spunked pick 37 on.

Not sure why anyone is gnashing their teeth here.

For what it's worth, I think Lynch has carved out a niche in our side that will survive Tex's return and will allow Tex to play a lot closer to goal when he comes back. He has no great physical attributes, but a great footy brain. Anyway, you guys don't care about my views on the Crows structure in 2014.

I don't really get the knocks on his kicking. Whenever I see him play he seems to hit up a target time after time when he gets the ball. A bit like how Banger used to always hit someone up with those 20-25m passes. He just never seems to miss them and he also seems to be pretty accurate when kicking for goal. I imagine he will compliment Tex very well, having very different attributes and strengths. Good luck to him.

As long as I'm welcome here (and tell me if I'm not), he is a pretty accurate kick but not a penetrating one. Those short passes are good, but anything longer than that gets a bit loopy and I wouldn't describe his field kicking as above average overall.

Accurate shot for goal within 40m, but can't carry the goal line from 50. If he takes a mark 45 out, look for him to quickly scoot around and kick off of a few running steps before everyone has set themselves because he knows he won't clear the goal line if he goes back over his mark. He's kicked goals in both of the last 2 games doing this. Again, his footy brain compensates to a degree for his lack of physical gifts.

Nothing I was posting was ment as a troll. If you to the Rich boards you will see me wishing them all the best at their new club. I dont hope for the failure of any player.
I guess like us it hasnt been a good year and so things can be taken a bit worse than ment. I get that.

But again, honest question here if someones willing to answer. When Lynch was drafted what was the talk on him. Been a high pick he must of had some strong points people liked.
From what I have seen both in the crows and glenelg he has a big tank and runs alot to get possesions and then has the ability to get under the defences guard and get some goals. I would be interested to know if thats his strength as a jr or has he had to change his game.

From reports, Tom Lynch thought he was the greatest ever to be recruited to play the game. Even going so far as telling Riewoldt & Kosi during his first preseason where they should be running & positioning themselves to play CHF/FF properly... o_O

Having said that, he's not a bad bloke, but IMO a little too arrogant for someone that has achieved so little after 5 years in the system

From what the others Saints Bigfooty guys have said, he was being played in different positions throughout his time in our reserves, then when finally getting a game in the Saints team, would be played in a completely different role again.

I haven't seen much of him given I live in Sydney & couldn't go to the Sandy Zebs games. Other than his Adelaide games & the few game he played for us, I looks like he's finally being played in the right position for the Crows. Who knows, if he'd stayed here, he may have progressed under the new coach Scott Watters, as he has for you guys under Sanderson

No harm done. Respectful posters are always welcome. Sometimes you may have to stop and think whether a post is appropriate in a certain setting, ie what is fine on Crows board, may not be here and vice versa.

Good luck going forward.

Then what pray tell was the reason for you letting us know he kicked three goals?
Because his results from games were been reported in this thread. I had read the thread previously and thought that his figures for the last match would fit here. Look at the message not the messenger. Nothing I wrote was sarcastic nor was there any commentry on him leaving the Saints. Only put up his score. For all I know the game might not have even been telecast on 7.
Nothing more than that.

So do you go onto all teams boards and post stats of their ex players? If so that's really nice of you, you must be an Internet gentleman.

Ok I didnt know about his attitude. When I look at Lynch I dont see an gifted athlete. I see him as a hard worker at the crows. Sometimes young guys can dominate in the u18s but their weapons dont translate to the AFL. Like others have said hes not quick and doesnt have a big 60m leg on him. I havent seen him as a good pack mark either. He just seems to have a big tank and gets his goals by sheer hard work. Those traits dont strike me as getting you picked up high in the draft.
Anyway its interesting seeing him make a bit of a mark. I see him as a half forward flanker who will get under teams guards if the focus too much on trying to stop walker. Similar to The Porpoise but not as naturally skilled.
Cheers
