Only read the last couple of pages but Lynch is a Restricted FA next year meaning GC can match any contract offered, which they probably will.

This means that Lynch would need to be traded for with good player/s and picks. So other than the huge salary for 5-6 years, which Vic club could get the deal done? It would need to be a club that has the likelihood of two very high first rounders but from Lynch's point of view has quick upside.

This narrows the field dramatically.

You've spent your cap on Martin. No chance.

If it's Money he wants he won't be leaving GC. If he wants success... that is what puts us in the frame of he decides to leave.

Collingwood have participated in 4 grand finals and won a premiership in the last 15 years. Odds are that Lynch will be playing finals if he joins Collingwood sooner rather than later going by the averages.
Not with the current trend.

And the fact the Gill is going to offer him "ambassador" cash, only if he stays at the GC though, if that turns out to be true he'd be mad to leave, could be looking at 1.8 million pa if he stays, and that's before other 3rd party deals.

If GC match a bid on Lynch, he's going to cost a minimum of 2 firsts as a trade. Can Collingwood afford to do that. I'm not sure they're in a position with the list to do that. Do they have enough elite young talent?

No chance he leaves, what north offered dusty would be nothing compared to what GC will pay and the AFL. Easily 2m+ player so I can't see him turning that down.

I think people fail to realise how shifty clubs are with the salary caps and how many under the table deals the afl ticks off
