These guys are easily the hottest young property going around in the AFL at the moment. Jaeger has had a great first AFL season, slotted in well with the GCS and played pretty good. He racks them up, plays hard and disposes the ball well. Tom Mitchell played his second game tonight against the Crows, was amazing, should pick up 2 brownlow votes. Finished with 31, a goal, 10 tackles & 2nd in DT points.

They'll both be around for a long time, club leaders and potential club champions. I can't pick which one will win the rising star. Jaeger has an 8-9 game advantage over Mitchell, but Mitchell has been excellent in his 2 afl games.

Neither drafted at their value, both on long term contracts, both playing their first games, both Western Australian.

Jaeger. Mitchell will be an awesome player, but think Jaeger could be the best midfielder in the competition.

Jaeger O'Meara, people are saying he's like Judd when he was with the Eagles.

Mitchell has played 1.5 games. As excited as I am watching him play, let's wait until he's played a few more before we start trying to make predictions like this.

Not me. Judd was standout in our side far sooner (in my view and even not having regard to GAJ).

Mitchell looks pretty good but both games he has played the Swans have dominated.

Interested to see if he can stand up when the team is under pressure/losing like Jaegar does.

Hard to say, jaeger will be a superstar attacking mid. Mitchell will be a superstar in and under . Flip of the coin at the moment

I don't have time at the moment, maybe if there's anyone that is interested and can be bothered , it would be interesting to see how Mitchell's game today or even first 2 stack up against anyone else's debut or first couple of games ??

these threads are ridiculous so soon. After the games they have played, o'meara, vlaustin and mitchell will be the top three. still half a season to go for judging. glory be, mitchell has only played 2 games. way to early to call.

This will be the new debate that there is no answer for.
All 3 of them will be immense talents and you'd be over the moon with any of them.
