likes him in hawthorn?
I just don't see how Hawthorn get the deal done. Very awkward position. Even if you managed to sort out a deal for JOM involving no picks.
Sydney don't take any pick over 11-12, they would be silly to.
It won't be a player swap as that doesn't help Sydney's cap woes.
I think Richmond and other clubs lower in the draft order will be pitching to the Mitchell camp.

Only if we finish in the same position next season.
In all seriousness though, I don't see us giving pick 6. I'm actually fairly confident we won't, but it is Richmond so who knows.

getting mitchell and other trade targets is more simple than you think.
i find it funny how people don't think it is possible when actually it is quite simple

Have you looked into getting a gig in list mgmt? You seem to be the only person who believes it will be simple.
I think you are just in hope that it will be simple.

i know it is easy. just gotta use that brain that we have and it is quite simple.
I know this may not be 100% but he is what i would do if i were in-charge of the hawks trade period. (We only lose Hill and Brand!)
1. Hawks Get: Mayne Compo (pick 21 or 22) Freo Get: Hill
2. Hawks Get: O'Meara Dogs Get: Mayne Compo (pick 21 or 22) Power Get: 2016 first Hawks GC Get: Hartlett and Jong
3. Hawks Get: Mitchell and swans 2016 second. Swans Get: Hawks 2017 first and 2016 second.
4. Hawks Get: Brisbane 2016 second (28) or North's 2nd (29) Brisbane/North Get: Brand and hawks 2016 3rd (50)
5. BigBoy? Still hasn't got a contract, could be traded.

Hawks Get: O'Meara, Mitchell, swans 2016 second (35), 2016 second (28)
Hawks Lose: Hill, Mayne Compo, 2016 and 2017 first, Brand and 2016 3rd.
Going into the draft with: 28or29, 35, 68, 86

port will want more then your first for hartlett. also if gold coast want jong they can easily give one of there many picks for him with out the need for a 3way trade

they say they want mature aged players......lol. if they don't want them they can take the picks and choose who they want :drunk::drunk::drunk::drunk:

They don't have to use any of their picks, can still bid for their academy players and use their other picks to get hanley and someone else.
also port has said they want youth and it gets them in the first round which is what they want and they drop heaps of salary........

Problem with the hypothetical, it misses what clubs want.

If GC wanted Harlett, they could probably do a swap of firsts.

Port want a pick in top 6-7 for harlett for a crack at marshall

Assumes that Mayne compo would be end of first (if he goes)

Bris could get Brand for around pick 40-45 as opposed to a 22 round downgrade.

A lot needs to happen a certain way.

The Mitchell deal would not be accepted by Sydney. Not a chance.
Port would want more for Hartlett and so they should.
Trade number five you have a question mark next to it...

Your trade scenario is by no means simple and this is what I was getting at.
There will be a lot of moving pieces in order to get Mitchell to Hawthorn. Whereas a club like Carlton, or hopefully Richmond can offer pick 5 or 6 and just get it done with no fuss.

here is the thing if he nominates us it 95% chance he will come to us. he doesn't have to go where he doesn't want to as he has to tick off the trade. so it doesnt matter what carlton or richmond do.....if he nominates us he comes to us.
why wouldn't swans do it? they can't afford players so they take the picks?
as for hartlett hasn't proven much at all......

The picks aren't high enough. It's not fair market value.
But yes if he nominates you then it should get done.

thats what the trades go off. that we have been nominate. therefore i believe the trades I've put up are fair.
of course if he said any team in vic we wouldn't get him, but if nominated the trades are 100% fair.

Yeah, that looks really simple..... :drunk:

All it takes is one team like Sydney to say no and it all falls apart.

And they would be mad not to. I believe Mitchell is probably the best player available (through trade) this year. Opposition teams would be silly not to open up their wallet to the kid, and offer Sydney a better deal than Hawthorn.

Can you name another deal involving six clubs in the history of AFL trading? It doesn't happen. That proposal is the very opposite of simple.

If Vickery chooses us we get him.

JOM has chosen us. We get him.

Or you can show all the players who didnt end up where they wanted?

Players get where they want to because eventually the club that wants them offers a fair price. No club will willingly be bent over just because they might lose a player for nothing. The Hawks will have to pay a reasonable price for everyone they want or they won't get them. Except Vickery, you can have him for a bag of chips.

Fair price is what they will a cept to avoid them leaving for nothing.

Does Hawthorn have a history of driving such hard bargains players end up in the Draft?
