Be an easy three way trade Prestia to Richmond - Mitchell to GC on big $ - pick 6 to Swans
That's actually not a bad option. It seems a given that Prestia for pick 6 will get done. According to those dirty statistic things, Mitchell is on par or ahead of Prestia in most key areas. Both the same age too.

Doubt we'll lose Breust or Sicilly....We'll also have Roughy back.

If McEvoy does go, we'll just pick up another ruckman such as Lobbe, would have thought.

Bit of wishful thinking on your behalf here.
Probably one of Breust or Sicily will go... McEvoy is deadweight IMO and I think you can get the best out of Vickery since he will be at a real club... Don't see Roughy coming back

I suspect all parties would be pleased with that deal.
Except Mitchell...he really wouldn't

In that deal, wouldnt Richmond just give Pick 6 to GCS for Prestia?

If Mitchell wants to come to Hawthorn, why would he end up 1,000km even further north than Sydney? Sydney may like the idea of Pick 6, but Mitchell may not care less. Especially if Hawthorn is offering similar money.

Can't see how hawthorn can offer a $700k 5 year deal

So GCS would pay Mitchell exactly what they are supposedly offering OMeara?

Does this mean OMeara's value is exactly the same as Mitchell? Talk is Hawthorn would offer 2017 1st round for Mitchell. So that is what OMeara is worth?

If hawthorn end up with something like

Out - Mcevoy, Hill, breust, Sicily
In - Mitchell, o meara, Vickery

I think they will actually be a weaker team overall personally.

O meara probably the unknown variable and possible difference between genuine shot at flag or falling short like this year
The problem for Hawthorn is that by 2018, those ins/outs will be:

Outs: McEvoy (probably), Hill(almost certainly), Mitchell(probably), Burgoyne(almost certainly), Hodge(certainly), Gibson (certainly)
Ins: O'Meara (likely), Mitchell (probably)

Whether they lose Breust or Sicily or not, they're going to be a worse team by 2018 makes sense that they give 2017 one last crack so bringing in these guys this year is relatively urgent.

Plus they'll have given away both first round draft picks.

2017 first will get it done , based on everyone's thoughts on here that will be pick 1-3 because the cliff is coming for a team that was one kick short of a prelim. Sydney will be happy with that

The word so far is that Mitchell wants to remain at Sydney, but Sydney don't want to match the deal that the Hawks are offering. Not necessarily a case of Mitchell being desperate to get to Hawthorn.

He wont accept 380k so he will be desperate go to hawks over a club like GC so its the same thing essentially ?

So if GCS offer a little more than Hawthorn he heads north?

All the talk of the last few months that he wants out and wants to go to Hawthorn simply isnt true?

$380k is unconfirmed - all we know is that the Swans won't match the Hawks offer. If he's chasing money then I imagine he'll be desperate to go to the highest bidder.

That's pretty much correct. If you actually read the quotes and articles involving his manager or club spokespeople, they all say the same story: Mitchell is happy in Sydney and wants to stay, but the Swans need to improve their offer. His manager has been approached by Hawthorn, but the idea that he desperately wanted to be a Hawk was invented on BigFooty.

I imagine he'd prefer to go to Hawthorn rather than the Suns (or Blues etc) but they have the ability to offer him more than you do, so there's always the chance that will entice him.
