LOL at Hawthorn thinking they'll get T.Mitch with a spud player or a late first rounder. He is a gun and arguably worth more than JOM
What late first rdr ??
If the football world is right and we are on the slide 2017 pick should be 8-12 , that's not a late pick .

He was a restricted free agent, adelaide would've matched geelongs offer so were forced to trade.
If that were the case they would have been holding him hostage for a year at which time he would have left as a UFA. Everyone knows that there is no way they would have done that, since you bandwagoned your way onto BF in mid 2015 you surely were posting during last years trade period - so not sure how you don't know what happened o_O

All you're really doing is proving my point, if JOM wants out he'll nominate for the national draft and put a price on his head, GC get nothing. Mitchell can do the same or they have the option of preseason draft and mitchell probably happy to go to Carlton and JOM essendon as second options.

If he is a gun and arguably worth more than JOM why aren't Sydney prepared to pay him more than $380k a year?!
I understand they'd let him go for some cap relief but if he s so vital to their side then I'm sure they'd be willing to part ways with others to keep him.

You can't have your cake and eat it too, well not anymore from a Swans perspective ;)

Even if they find some cap space for Mitchell, they will still need to find even more to keep the rest of their young stars in the near future. Sounds like they are prepared to sacrifice Mitchell though.
Perhaps, I just thought I read somewhere the Swans were waiting on the revised salary cap figure before they upped their offer via a back-ended contract.
I'd be surprised if they were happy to see him go, with guys like Jack and Kennedy getting a little longer in the tooth and McVeigh potentially retiring

This is correct, we are still waiting on the new CBA, and have been since Tom was ready to sign earlier this year, both parties agreed to wait on new CBA to see if we could give him a better offer.

Not saying he'll definitely stay/go as other clubs may offer him more money still, but club certainly doesnt think he is "gone" just yet.

The afl has told clubs to budget on a 10% increase in the TPP. That figure is to include a total of $400,000 veterans allowance. Whilst it has not been agreed that is what the clubs will be working on as the CBA may not be finalised any time soon.

Six decades of domination
I wonder if the rumours of Sydney being keen on Langford are true. Hoping lightning strikes twice?

His best is very good but not sure if that was a flash in the pan. I think he suits Sydney's style more than he does ours. Might be the change he needs.

I HOPE NOT!

Just what we need more blokes with iffy kicking skills.

Literally everyone on your list I'd rather before him. We have a zillion mids anyway, not sure why he is wanting to come to Sydney to play in the NEAFL!
