You typically don't for small forwards. Rightly or wrongly
Rioli I would, Bruest I wouldn't. Don't get me wrong I would love Bruedt but there is a limit to how much. Mitchell for Bruest I could handle with a later round swap in your favour (albeit I would hate the trade initially)

You reckon a single club would offer much for your 4th or 5th best midfielder?

And you may find out on Saturday how badly you need quality small forwards. Buddy wont win games for you every week.
We have Papley. We don't need to pay through the roof for one. It isn't an immediate need.

The fact is, at most clubs he would be ranked a lot higher. Just because we have an AA midfield with depth doesn't devalue what Mitchell is worth.

And Breust is the 2nd best small forward in the comp, with the best small forward being 30.

Mitchell would be around the 40th best mid? Maybe 50th?

Where in my post did I mention Bruest? I was quoting a post on Mitchell and his value/standing compared to our midfield.

So I don't get your point here.

Was a reference to relative value of players. Breust and Mitchell have been talked about a lot in trades. Hawk supporters say Swans would need to include their 1st round pick. Swans supporters say the Hawks would need to include theirs.

By relative value, I would rate 2nd best small forward (who is also very handy in the middle) as worth more than the 40th-ish best midfielder.

Interesting that Scott Lucas on SEN today mentioned that there are clubs that might have overestimated the increase in the salary cap, and as such will need to offload a player to get back under the cap for next year
He is a player agent now, so he'd obviously know

Interesting and I reckon its spot on. There will also be a few lower placed clubs who have underspent the CAP and 'banked' the difference the last couple of years. With CAP to splash maybe they will be hoping to pick up a bargain.
I think Mitchell is worth more than pick 14.
