He wasn't that bad as a small forward in 2013 iirc
Newsflash he won't be playing as a genuine inside mid with JPK and Parker so he needs to show versatility
Parker does not need to play as an inside midfielder and it really isn't his forte either. Also you can have more than 2 inside midfielders.

Yeah but inside mid is his best position. Shouldn't we play the best players for the best positions? Have him in the middle, or resting up forward to rove under Tippett. Or be a defensive forward. There is a spot for him in the side.Maybe that is his position fact is we have Parker, Heeney, Dunkley, Mills all to fit in the midfield in the next 3 years..he needs to show more than being a rover
But he was not pathetic. I think that is a completely erroneous judgment. This whinging over Mitchell when he was pathetic in the trials? Maybe he should actually play well when there is a position up for grabs..

His stats line up against anyone's.In 2014 Mitchell was better in clearances than Bird, Jack, McVeigh etc. From **** all game time and not getting a consistent run. And allegedly unfit.
Looks like it will be a long year full of trade speculation :|
Why is Towers getting a game over Mitchell? Towers was spudding it up, even though Membrey was a better option and look how that turned out...
I have come to the conclusion that we see Mitchell as a surplus to our team not a requirement.
If Longmire won't play Mitchell we do not deserve to have him.
It makes me cry at night. Well amongst lots of other things.I have come to the conclusion that we see Mitchell as a surplus to our team not a requirement.
Which is so stupid given that clearances was a MASSIVE issue in the grand final and has been a big issue for the Swans for 2 years.
I think the clearance issue is a hugely exaggerated stat, its more accountability and midfield matchups which concern me.
Well in that instance Mitchell averages way more tackles than most of our midfielders.
Would prefer Mitchell rotating through the midfield and forward line than having Towers in the side. We don't play a 6-man forward line anyways.Different position and Towers had quite a decent NAB cup.
Yep 16 tackles against Richmond or something?
