Analysis Tom Mitchell

I hadn't though of that actually. Good point. Tom Mitchell might be a very useful asset when it comes to securing both Mills and Dunkley (should the latter nominate us as his club of choice).

Correct. Lets be honest for a second, someone (namely watch Collingwood do it grr) will bid at least a top 5 pick for Mills. We are going to have to come up with that without butchering 2 drafts (I would be hesitant to give up picks in 2016). Mitchell definitely has top 10 draft value, so him and 18 may get Mills for instance. Dunkley should be the easier one to get and a 2nd rounder plus downgrades should do it.

To be honest, I have no idea. Will try and find out though, Im not close very close with him.....yet. lol

Location: London?

They aren't directly comparable as they play different roles. Tom Mitchell is a better inside midfielder, Craig Bird is better at tagging the opposition's 2nd-3rd best midfielder.

Can compare any footballer on pure footy ability

If he was reported to be worth pick 6 last year, and he was injured a fair bit of last year, he would fetch a first rounder at least. still contracted, you always have to pay a bit on top to get a contracted player.

Well O'Rourke went for pick 19 and he doesn't compare to what Mitchell has shown.

We wont get a top 10 pick for him tho.

O'Rourke came with massive risks, and if GWS didn't take him at 2, he was likely to slide to the late first round in his draft anyway. Can easily see a side like the Eagles, Richmond, etc wanting Tom.

For the 2356th time Carlton NEVER offered Pick 6 for Mitchell. They made a late offer of their second round pick which was rejected by Tom once Carlton went public with their interest in trading for him. We weren't interested in trading him and he wasn't interested in leaving.

So we have a baseline of mid second round set if we do trade him, not first round which you have settled on for some unknown reason.

Fair enough. Still see him (if traded, and that is a big IF) to be worth 8-20, depending on the team. A side like Richmond would love him feeding out their countless outside runners.

You just don't get it, are stupid or both. He is worth second round last year. He doesn't raise in price for no reason because you think so:rolleyes:

Supply and demand, and last years draft was deeper from all reports. Clubs were very reluctant to flog first rounders away last year for a good reason. I would personally rather Tom comes in, cements his spot so we don't have to even go down this route.

You value mitchell to other clubs way too high and chuck him on the trade table far too readily imho
