Does anyone think that a drier deck could prompt Longmire to withdraw Mitchell and bring in Mglynn to provide more speed and tackling pressure?

It's highly unusual for Longmire to play 4 extractors. He may revert to his usual 3 extractors (Bird, Kennedy and Parker) if the ground dries out before 2.10pm. The SCG does have the super sopper.

A late change like that would be cruel given Benny was dropped to find form

I'm not suggesting send him back to the ressies, he's still a net positive, but he needs to learn how to actually kick the footy properly, or otherwise stick to handballing.

Except it wasn't. He had a couple of bad disposals but most of his disposals went where he wanted them to go.

By hand, absolutely. His kicking was horrific. One in particular comes to mind, he gathered the ball on the wing, plenty of time to launch it inside 50, and he skies it. Up-and-under that went 30 metres, max. It's like he panics whenever he has to kick the ball. It's really weird.

Overall a very good game from Tommy, I'd hate to think what would've happened if he wasn't in the middle today.

His intent was great, continually diving into packs.

Disposal at times can let him down, but with enough experience he'll add that polish.

Was a good inclusion imo
