His poor disposal was more due to a lack of composure with the ball rather than being a bad kick, which most people recognized, hence why there weren’t a lot of ‘bad kicking’ calls.

I am impressed with this guy, didn't expect he would be as good as he currently is. Reminds me of Swanny in that he is an accumulator. Like Swan I think the focus has been on his disposal, downplaying the fact he gets the ball a hell of a lot. I hope, like Swan, as the years pass the impact of his possessions will increase. Could he become elite?

Yes, really. Tidying up disposal is a perfectly reasonable way of putting it. Covers both kicking and hand balling, and it’s a direct result of him gaining some composure with ball in hand.

It's not like he's gone from Jaxson Barham to Nathan Buckley, but the improvement is there.

I'm stoked for him. Seems like a great kid and he's legitimately one our absolute best now. A genuine star.

Totally torched Ed Langdon late in the game today to the point where Langdon just gave in. Phillips looked like he wouldn't even blow out a candle. His super endurance is really an asset.

I can't wait for Elliott to get back in the side. It'll allow us to send De Goey to the middle. Which means we'll get Phillips on one wing and more of Sidebottom on the other. That's some serious running power there!

No, it's the shanks and missed targets. Came to fore a bit yesterday as well, especially for a period early in the 2nd quarter. Needs to be more consistent through games.
