Suban Palmer Hill midfield looks good to me. We need to address the KPP...

Anthony Morabito if available should be drafted by the club.

What is frustrating is watching our key players genuinely going down injured whilst the eagles try to have everyone think their players have season ending injuries so they can cover their tracks...

Fact is the eagles have swept garbage under the carpet for years. They have the most fickle fans in australia and they know the list they have is rubbish. Todays game was a classic example of them not trying to win.

Since your saying that their list is rubbish, that should be reason enough why they're not winning.

I'll agree that we have some fickle fans, but which club doesn't. BTW, while we're talking about fickle; your post sounds like a whinge.

I can easily see Fremantle getting Anthony Morabito, neither of the WA teams will get PPs though IMO. If they do, then Essendon will definitely make the finals.

Rather a West Australian tbh. Don't want to get someone who may do a Judd/Warnock

That can be dangerous though.

In 2001 if we had pick one and focused on WA boys we would have passed on Hodge and Judd and ended up with Polak.

In 2003 we would have passed on Cooney and ended up with Ray or Bradley.

Have to take the best available player, by the end of 2011 our young group should be showing improvement which will help will player retention.

Chances are Eagles will win atleast one more with us, NM and Rich at home before seasons end. The Demons also have a chance to win two of their last 6 with games against us, NM, Syd and Rich all in Melbourne.

If this occurs and we end up with the wooden spoon its a no brainer-Tom Scully is a Docker. If Melbourne do successfully tank which they probably will then they will take Scully and another, so then we should take the next best either Trengrove or Lucas/Morabito.

Unfortunately we need KPP but none of them seem to be worthy of a top pick that we will have so we may need to trade a player and lower pick for another later 1st rounder and look at Panos/Butcher if avail.

If the worst happens and both WC and Melb get PP's then we will have pick 5 or 6 and may go with Butcher if the names mentioned above are already gone.

Either way I'm hoping we win the Derby but it is really not that bad if we lose and also would rather lose to the demons later on. I know draft picks are no certainty but Tom Scully potentially is a superstar in the making.

I think we are still deficient in the midfield, KPP's can wait. At subi the midfield is paramount. Look ahead 2 years.. Hase gone.
We will have:
Palmer (disposal a bit suss)
Hill (may be an outside type mid with his body shape)
Suban (not a pure mid)
Ibbo (not fully sold on him yet)
Schammer (journeyman)
Walters???
De Boer (tagger mostly I believe)

For someone described as Scully has been I can handle some further crap that will come with not winning another game.

Scully has a long accurate kick off both feet and a work rate to match.

Hopefully he'll sprout another couple of cm too
And if he plays 100 games, hopefully his abstinence towards drinking doesn't apply towards making a father son ;)

I hope you guys get Scully because if melbourne do thats going to be scary.

Yeah sad isnt it :p

Scully is a standout not just for his football ability at his age but his professionalism

kinda reminds me of the best rover WA ever produced

MUST take the best player available.

Worst comes to worst, we get 2-3 years from a non-WA player and they want to go home and we reap the benefits with a trade. It's a WIN-WIN.

Drafting based on position is only something that teams with good players and depth can do.
