Sensible pick up. Provides the team with another runner now that Scully has departed. Whitfield can play either back or mid and Sheridan can take whatever position he doesn't play.

De Boer probably has him under his wing already. In his ear telling him how to get a spot. He was training with Zac Langdon over Christmas last year, and that worked well.
I know he played a lot of half back for us but IMO, his best position is wing or half forward. Good runner and his i50 kicking is generally good.
Think he will do well at the Giants. He played better when we were better.

Solid citizen, solid player who can perform a role that we need. Happy with picking him up.

I will be interested to see how he goes, have fun...
I see him as depth and at this stage likely to be player 25-30 in the first half of the season so likely to have game time and so many other variables but if he can play a role and stay on the park he will be an ok pick up

Figure his job for GWS is not be a 1st or 2nd season player left to pick from when you need a HHF, winger or HB when injury strikes.

Has some talent but if there was a more petrified Freo player than him I can't remember them

What's with GWS taking on Freo never beens? That's like 4 now.
Yep 4 now. Palmer, Mzungu, Deboer and Sheridan. Harsh to call them 'never beens' though.
We've taken I think 3 the other way in Wilson, McCarthy and Lobb.
Of all the cut players we have had since 2016, Deboer and Sherro (and Clancee
) are the ones I wanted to keep. Seems GWS somewhat agree with my assessment of them.
Softer than the Stay Puft marshmallow man, and the marshmallow man has a better turning circle.

He actually did well until Stevie J took his spot. Seemed to go backwards quickly when that happened.

Always waiting for the break out game that never did come. Hopefully a new environment will work for him.
