Very similar to the Maynard v Brayshaw incident except Stewart collected Wines head with his hip, not his shoulder. You could say this incident won't end a player's career but it wasn't just the Maynard collision that caused Brayshaw's retirement, it was the accumulation of concussions.

What say the collective brains of Bigfooty, all 7 of you?

Chris Scott already cleared him yesterday. Move on.

3 weeks. Easiest potential to cause injury case you’ll ever see given a player had to retire after being subjected to the same dogshot technique, I am of course referring to Maynard on Brayshaw.

Would be 6 if he koed him. Stewart has that dawg in him. I don’t know what Ollie Wines did to Stewart but Stewart wanted REVENGE.

as always the 'he's a good guy' policy will come to affect when it comes to Stewart..
this will be swept under the rug

Yes, the whole two times he’s been under the microscope and he was let off once for getting an opponent in the ribs, and suspended the other time for the high contact.

Thoughts and prayers for you mate.

"all reasonable steps to avoid that high contact and or minimise the force of that high contact".

You could argue the steps Stewart took in that contest by leaping at Wines, turning his body and crashing into him were to maximise the force of the contact.

If he wanted to maximise it wouldn’t he just punch him in the head or at least just run straight through him and shoulder or elbow him in the head

I think he learnt from assaulting the human meatball that you get big suspension for that.

He will more than likely get one from this too. Is it just possible that he did what he did? Like what the footage shows? And jumped to try and stop the ball and then made contact with his opponent and will get suspended accordingly? Or was he behind the grassy knoll beforehand

It’s a shit rule but it will unfortunately cost him a week if the AFL is serious about it. It’s exactly the action they changed the rule to stop

I don’t pretend to get into the mind of Tom Stewart, that’s gods work.

Don't think he meant anything by it but considering the rule was changed to prevent exactly this after Maynard v Brayshaw, and with Witherden was suspended for doing the exact same thing with less impact, this should be the 'easiest' decision Christian has ever made...

I don’t have any issues if he gets a week or two, they’ve set a precedent so that’s what it is. It will be fun watching various factions trying to turn him into Jeffrey Dahmer over it though.

Well, there wasn't any malicious intent in my opinion but the AFL set the precedent by changing the rules and then suspending Witherden so if he gets off, the issue will be with the AFL(as usual) and not Stewart/Geelong.

Nor was there in Maynard’s collision with Brayshaw. But that hasn’t stopped the conga line of circle jerking, intelligence challenged on BF from continuing to demand the death penalty for Maynard.

I also thought Maynard's was a football incident and it's not like they suspended him for it.
