Yep, the coaching staff rate Shuey above Swift. Though I hope we dont expect him to be an instant star. We have fallen in that trap before..

easily the best game of his fledgling career
I have been an avid supporter of Swift since before we drafted him and he continues to improve each time he takes the field but I dont believe the above comparison serves any useful purpose. Each of them are outstanding young players and I for one would love to have them all at West Coast.
Fledgling? What the?

his running goal was a thing of beauty. looks like he needs a lot more weight - he looks smaller than bloody nahas! - but we need that sort of run and spark in this team.
Wtf, calling him fledgling already?
It's his first season ffs! Pathetic!
Boy is only 18, isn't he? By 22 he will be gun.
Can't believe how harsh the commentators were on Swift, I thought he was great. Good decision maker, good pace, good finisher. His goal on the run was fantastic.
Seems everyone at the club does, Masten and Spangher singled out Shuey. Swifts got to put on another 4 Kilos where as Shuey is already at a very playable weight, Swifts still got to work on his kicking but with a preseason of hard running next to Masten and Houlihan he should have a good 2010.
