PS: I dont know why these days we are in such a massive hurry to see the kids being brought into the senior side.

Way back when the competition used to have the U19s and the reserve sides... we would be able to monitor a kids progress as they advanced from the colts through to the seniors.

Bringing them into the senior side as early as 18 tends to see their career shortened really because they are getting battered about by fully developed men.

Shows glimpses - just can't put a game together from what I have seen.
Seems to have all the tools to succeed, but as you rightly say, he struggles to put it all together for any length of time. Hopefully at some stage this season it will finally click for him & he will remove any doubts about his future.

Admittedly I've only seen him a couple of times but he seems to be a one touch player who's quite clean with the ball in close and has a crack at the ball/man. As you mentioned he has a big tank but could probably do with putting on a few kgs.
Not a star by any stretch but I could see him coming into the seniors before the end of the season to fill the Ellard, forward/mid role.

Whats this guys specialty aside from his aerobic base?! i.e. what does he bring to a side?

That he is a very neat footballer. Kicks it well, makes good decisions and that he kicked 4 yesterday (should have been 5) means that he can play forward and back. The query for mine is where does he play at AFL level? Even now i'm not sure - perhaps a small defender who can go through the midfield.

Very pleased to hear that Tom has started the season off well. He needs to use yesterday's performance as a platform from which he can launch into the rest of the year.

This is Tom's 2nd year at the club and whilst he doesn't need to announce himself at senior level, it would be nice to see him develop some real consistency in his performances at VFL level. Would love to see him push for senior selection as the season progresses.

Very handy little player, is Tom. Little nugget with neat skills who isn't afraid to get his hands dirty but at this stage lacks consistency. Wouldn't hurt to see him settle in the one position, either - he has spent time at both ends of the ground as well as through the middle in his time at the club.

You've nailed it right there. His hands are so good. His problem last season was that he just didn't find enough of the ball to be able to display this attribute often enough.

Temay strikes me as a bit of a confidence player, who perhaps lacks a bit of self belief when things aren't going well for him. I'm hoping his performance at the weekend will help him to realise that he can easily play at VFL level & then translate this into belief at AFL level.
