medhurst tweeked a hammy according to eddie on the radio

so the boys must of played great. thats good, joshy fraser showed some form n trav cloke played a good game n kicked a few goals, thats good starting to show some form:thumbsu: go the pies

First game back for Josh, he played mostly out of the goalsquare and his height and mobility caused a few headaches to appear for the opposition, finished up with four goals.

Travis Cloke ran hard and presented well. I expect nothing more from him.

Dale Thomas may get seriously hurt, but you have to admire the way he attacks the football. He puts his head over the ball, and he's a classy finisher. What's not to like about Thomas!

Brad Dick reminds me of Aaron Davey, he will cut the mustard. We needed someone to apply pressure from the outset and to his credit he did so. It's a shame that he didn't return after half-time.

Neon Leon played well, but the opposition gave him space and never closely checked him.

Ben Reid took a few nice marks, which was encouraging. He will be better for the experience, no doubt.

In the end, Collingwood were missing a few senior players again. I reckon we should improve by 10% come Round 1. St Kilda were very average, so other than the essential positives, i.e youngsters lifted, It doesn't change much in the context of the 2007 season.

hello im sad too say but i heard that when we were doing our warm down daisey cramped up really really badly and it might set him back with a cramp related injury:thumbsdown:

Did anyone see the cheapshot artist Steven Baker Hit d.ic.k behind play?

didnt see the hit, but definitely saw young Bradley rolling on the floor in pain, poor kid looked like a sniper had shot him in the ankle from the top tier of the Scocial club stand...seeing his "brother" down on the ground leon was first to remonstrate with Baker.....imagine if Egan was there...geez can only imagine!!

Yeah i agree with your match report here mate...another good sign i thought were our young defenders Sam Iles and Alan Toovey showing theyre not scared to mix it with the bigger guys, Toovey looked very similar to the way Nick Maxwell looked in his first few games, Toovey spent abit of time on Goddard when Goddard was forward early and did quite well. One kid that has yet to show enough is Ryan Cook though, he copped it off the collingwood faithful when he tried a banana kick from the pocket when using his left foot wouldve been a better option...hopefully he learns from it, at times looks like hes running away from contests too much.

dunno what other fans thought but i was pleasantly surprised by Shannon Cox's work in the backline too..showed composure when rebounding out of there..i thought he was going to be nothing more than a Williamstown top up player but he showed something. it was also good to see the side without Egan, StKilda wouldve won if we had Egan out there!
