One can only hope so. To think this will cause massive unemployment is ridiculous. It will be offset by the private sector. See the UK where 1m public servants are getting the chop and unemployment hasnt gone up.

Has anyone in the UK actually noticed they are gone? Nope. The reason why is blatantly obvious.
Stuff the UK.

Look at Queensland.

Newman's carved up the public service up there and now there aren't enough nurses, police, firefighters, teachers etc.

I'd hate to live up there knowing that so much of the front line has been stripped away.

Ted and Barry are doing the same.

For Ted it's having a personal impact, as there's a fair few he kept on are so corrupt his premiership is basically a dead duck - pretty rare to have a 1 term Premier in Victoria.

He won't be able to remove the Carbon Tax. The Greens and labor senators will make sure of that furphy.

He can't remove the NBN. He knows this.

So the cuts will be - ready for it - massive cuts to the public service. Therefore he's actually going increase our low level of unemployment on a massive scale..much like Campbell Dumdum in QLD, Terrible Ted in Victoria and Barry O'Failure in NSW to make the cuts.

This will have a huge impact. How many families are going to suffer as a result of these cuts? Thousands.

Aaah Tone - Australia will be inefficient and worse off with you in charge. Laughing stock of the world. Welcome to a third world country.
We are a laughing stock right now...

Now he's describing it as "an orderly transition" to a new premier and "nothing like" the Rudd scenario. Yeah Ted just woke up the other day and thought he'd call it quits. Nothing to do with pressure within the party or that he would likely have been pushed if he hadn't resigned.

The only difference between this and Rudd is that Baillieu will likely accept his fate and move on to something else instead of constantly white-anting the new leader.

You don't seem to understand, that it was only Gillard who replaced a former member. It doesn't matter how Abbott arrived into leader of the opposition the way he did... It is only Gillard who is the devil incarnate!

That's completely untrue. If you stated that "no one who supports the opposition gives a crap about their problems", I would agree.

If a major issue is "backstabbing", why would it not be important for both major parties?

The issue that people care about is that Rudd was the Prime Minister.

If he were an opposition leader nobody would care. Whilst we don't vote directly for Prime Ministers it's pretty obvious that the voters intended for Rudd to be prime minister- especially given the presidential Kevin 07 campaign.

So, they do not care that Gillard was democratically voted in by the ALP, in the exact same way that any leader of the ALP is voted in. They only care that it was because the ALP was in power.

How much did Abbott win by to become the Coalition leader?

And do you agree that this continuous "Gillard the backstabber stole the leadership" stance, is a load of shit?

The public only cares because Rudd was prime minister.

It's a purely emotional reaction.

So you agree that it is reactionary for the sake of reaction.

Do you agree that the pseudo importance that the media has built up is unsubstanciated?
Do you agree that, in general, reactionists are il-informed, and poorly educated?

There is a difference between ted and kevin

Gillard outlined where she thought the govt had gone wrong, and outlined what she would do

Gillard went to the people at the earliest opportunity

The libs arrogantly believe they just change the leader, change nothing else and the voters will give the new guy a go

And can I say rudds achievements outweigh bailleus by several factors
