Ablett kicked 8 of his 9 goals after Geelong were already 40 points down and the game was overI rate Gary Ablett's 1989 grand final contribution higher than the combination of Jack's from 2017 and 2019.

Given Geelong only lost by a goal, the game wasn't over at any point.Ablett kicked 8 of his 9 goals after Geelong were already 40 points down and the game was over
rubbish..
Geelong got flogged for three quarters before Hawthorn took to foot off and let Geelong kick some junktime goalsGiven Geelong only lost by a goal, the game wasn't over at any point.
Riewoldt missed some very gettable goals early in the 2017 grand final which gave Adelaide an early lead. He had the yips if I remember right.
Knock it offWould rather Jack Riewoldt in my team for a grand final than any of the other 3
Geelong outscored Hawthorn in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarters.Geelong got flogged for three quarters before Hawthorn took to foot off and let Geelong kick some junktime goals
Riewoldt's record in grand finals speaks for it's selfKnock it off
And yet were down by 6 goals at the end of each of the quartersGeelong outscored Hawthorn in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarters.
He shat the bed early against the crows in 2017 and had a good game against a bunch of witches hats last year.Riewoldt's record in grand finals speaks for it's self
Lockett kicked 6 in a losing team in his only grand final. How many did jack kick?Riewoldt's record in grand finals speaks for it's self
Kicked 5 and was a big reason why his team won, if it was the 90s he probably would have kicked 10Lockett kicked 6 in a losing team in his only grand final. How many did jack kick?
Jack will be in the conversation at the end of his career whether you like it or not.
Liam Jones can beat him, but he can kick 10 on blokes like Silvagni, Langford, Martyn, etc.Kicked 5 and was a big reason why his team won, if it was the 90s he probably would have kicked 10
Don't recall. Rotten Ronnie Andrews maybe ?All 3 superstars and all had a bit of c$$t about them. Lockett arguably the most intimidating player to ever play the game. Does anyone remember the name of the Essendon full back that he got in a headlock and wouldn’t let go?

I might be thinking Jacko and Rotten Ronnie at it.
LOL. I won’t have any difficulty ignoring Jack as a GOAT candidateAnother Coleman and it will be hard to ignore Jack Riewoldt in this conversation for GOAT forwards.
Yeah I'd say you're wrong, and lockett was simply too big and heavy/didn't posses the agility to pull off some of the feats that Fev did.
Lockett was the best player I have ever seen. People who did not see a lot of him live don't appreciate all aspects of his game.
Bit easier to do when you only had to face Sydney Swans and an over the hill Carlton.
You saw firsthand what happened to North Melbourne when they had to actually face a decent grand finalist in Adelaide.
Swap Carey and Ablett around and give Ablett that North Melbourne side with that back-line and forward line (McKernan, Longmire, Grant, Abraham) and I'm pretty certain he has a flag or two.
