And her skill set is so streamlined it would probably be hard to get into another industry.

Plenty of attractive women studying for their PhD, especially doing genetics/medical research.

As an undergrad, the biological sciences were dominated by females and the ratio stays similar heading into post grad.

Women are very defensive and insecure. They will fight over something they want along with other women as well as act nastily towards them when they feel threatened by them. Generally (but not in this case) looks can play a big part in working life and there are studies which suggest this correlation is high. Hence the reason industries like Virgin ask for Passport photos to be attached to the application.
