Noticed that the Victorian State Government will release a code of conduct for spectators, players, officials and clubs to help conrol aggressive parents at junior sports.

Anyone ever run into the so called "ugly parents syndrome" at a footy game?

Speaking of ugly parents thay had a story on ACA tonight showing a 3 year old girl being pushed by her parents to swim 1km. Took her 55 minutes...now that's ugly!! Poor little girl.

Don't think she was being pushed, she seemed to enjoy swimming, I know both my kids at that age loved the water & it was a chore trying to get them out.

A lot worse case of not so much ugly parent as bad parent happened in Perth about a year ago, a mother was drinking & taking drugs with people in the park & left her 8 month old daughter alone with a male 31 year old drinking partner, he took the baby away & r*ped her. It is in the courts at the moment, I think both the mother & bastard who did it should be sterilized & locked away forever.

I know totally off topic, but mentioning ugly parents just made me think about it.

Yeah I'm sure she loves swimming but she's a toddler for god sake. It can't be good for their little bodies to be fatigued like that. Oh well each to their own I guess, I thought it was cruelty.

Actually it is good for their bodies exercising in water, my daughter is an asthmatic & the only exercise she can do without suffering from asthma is swimming, plus it doesn't put any strain on their bones & is gentle on muscles as well.
