We aren't talking about Essendon.Won't make the 8. The spuds will be heavily exposed now.

Two away games in a row from here is really bad timing and hurts. We could realistically be 1-3. I would expect to beat the Swans but Melbourne will be tough. 2-4 is probably the reality. 1-5 and 3-3 aren't completely out of the question though either.I looked at Richmond's next few games and it is not an easy draw
Round 3 (AWAY) - GWS
Round 4 (AWAY) - Port Adelaide
Round 5 (HOME) - Sydney
Round 6 (HOME) - Melbourne
Sydney might be the outlier there but GWS, Port and Melbourne are not easy beats. All of them could in theory beat Richmond.

2-4 We are definitely done for top 4 and 1-5 probably done for finalsTwo away games in a row from here is really bad timing and hurts. We could realistically be 1-3. Based on current ladder position you could be right. But then again, based on current ladder position you guys will pony up the number one pick in this year’s draft.Tigers to finish 9th?
Collingwood must have won last weekend too then.Couple of things - Dustin Martin sadly has really fallen off a cliff (compared to his brilliant 2017 season, which to be fair, was one of the very best and blistering individual season' s by a player we have ever seen) and two, there a couple of ordinary players in Richmond's 22 last who are being exposed as battlers/not very good at all (Castagna being the prime example)
Hardwick also made a boo boo blaming Balta.
To be fair, The Pies were brilliant last night, I honestly don't think any team would have beaten them last night in that form, I think Collingwood are well and truly now the Victorian favourite to win the flag (sadly)
Wellers in Caddy’s roleOut of curiousity, why were they happy for Sam Lloyd to leave but recruited Weller? Lloyd has been pretty good the matches I have seen him in?
Could be based on how’s he playing this year. But then again, going by this thinking, you could also assume the Eagles are cooked.Dustin Martin. Cooked? No more gas left?
Last year’s big games we won, I’m not looking at 2013 as that is irrelevant. The reality is that we are not good in big games apart from the 2017 finals series. I can highlight all of the big games we had since 2013 and most of them are losses, with some even being thrashings. The losses are also largely the same - most of our star players go missing. It happened yesterday against Collingwood, it happened in the PF last year, it happened in our loss against Adelaide in a top-of-the-table clash in Round 6 2017, it happened in the 2013 EF against Carlton, it happened in the 2015 EF against North Melbourne, it happened in the 2014 EF against Port Adelaide etc.
We still have a similar group of top-end players to 2013, so I believe my criticism of them from 2013 through to 2019 apart from the 2017 finals series is still relevant.
That's the dumb thing about everyone who has been bagging out rance for the last 5 years. Everyone thinks he is an overrated hack, yet now he is the difference between being the best and barely making the 8.One man is the difference between them being a monty for me as opposed to a making up the numbers in the 8.
And I wasn't a Rance fan....
Collingwood is the only chance the cup stays in Victoria.
I've grown to respect him now and realise his true value to the team. That's the dumb thing about everyone who has been bagging out rance for the last 5 years. Everyone thinks he is an overrated hack, yet now he is the difference between being the best and barely making the 8.
Fwiw, I think he is because he is that good. Sounds like you agree.
Tbh I don't think lynch should be playing because he isn't fully fit, but he isn't the problem. I've said on my own board even last year that our midfield is bottom 8. Dusty is a gun, Edwards and Cochin are a grade, preatia is good for the 10 games he plays and Lambert is an honest worker. That's it. Rance is so important because our midfield gets carved up when Dusty isn't on. If Dusty isn't right, Cochin and Edwards can't carry the rest.I've grown to respect him now and realise his true value to the team.
He's as important to your team as anyone in the league.
Everyone has irreplaceable players but he's on another level.
I'm mixed on whether Lynch is what you needed, you get him cause he's good, but if Jack was younger I reckon he'd be a backwards step. Maybe it's more future oriented. Your best is the tackling small fwds, I'd think bombing it to the big guy with a defence without Rance is gonna be a step backwards.
100% agree. He makes average players look good.Tbh I don't think lynch should be playing because he isn't fully fit, but he isn't the problem.
