No spot for Tom Green, Finn Callaghan or Lachie Ash?

We know you’re excited about Nas but put the tissues away for a bit

It's a pretty good list of young stars, isn't it?

I'm sure most would find a spot for Green and possibly Callaghan in their top 10, but no room for Ash.

Based on career output:
1. Nick Daicos
=2. Caleb Serong
=2. Zac Butters
4. Tom Green
5. Luke Jackson
6. Noah Anderson
7. Connor Rozee
8. Bailey Smith
9. Matt Rowell
10. Andrew Brayshaw

Then a gap to those who have broken out this year, and are coming with a bullet - Thilthorpe, Callaghan, Darcy, Cadman, Nasiah, Pickett, Holmes (added to appease my old mate Mr Meow).

That’s a surprisingly fair take, Fadge

Holmes without a mention is wild!

Far and away our most consistent + damaging player over the past two seasons collectively, for a top 4 team.

This is the MVP for 2025.

You'd know better than me as a Geelong supporter, but from the outside looking in, I have Smith and Cameron ahead of him.

Tough top 10 list to crack, but can push back in with a strong end to the season.

Your post said career output and still acknowledged those who have come in with strong form more recently like Callaghan. It was an oversight not to mention him at the very least with those names.

I'm finding it a common theme with Holmes though. Last year he was one of the best ranked defenders in the comp by a handful of metrics, but received relatively little fanfare. This year he's casually equal 9th in the coaches votes (both frequency and total) and it's a bit the same.

For instance he's tracking to have considerably more coaches votes than Tom Green after 5 and 6 seasons, despite being in an outside wing/half back utility role (where it's more difficult to pick up votes) until this year.
