Shaun Atley (13 September 1992, 187cm, 82kg, Vic Country): Midfielder with the capacity to play inside and outside, with a touch of country hardness about him. His pace off the mark is superb. His kicking is good but not in the elite class.

Brodie Smith (14 January 1992, 188cm, 79kg, South Australia): Croweaters’ under-18 captain who excelled as a midfielder in the under-18 championships and has played some good games at half-back in the Woodville West Torrens seniors. Quick, hard, determined, a natural leader.

Maybe maybe?

Skill is far more important then speed.

Geelongs midfield is the bench-mark of the comp.

Ablett, Corey, Ling, Chapman, Bartel, Selwood, Kelly.

All base their games around hardness and skill, which is what we need to develop our young midfield into

No one wants to draft another Kane Tenace.

Ziebell, Cunnington, Bastinac, Swallow, Greenwood, Adams.

Nothing wrong with trying to complement that groups hardness and skill with some speed and skill. Sounds like a good mix to me. We already have Anthony and Wells. Let's add two more.

Atley is touted top 10 easy, Smith top 15.

Out of all the draftees outside the top few Smith is the one I would love to get. He likes the hard stuff, is a good size and will end up a 6'2 - 6'3, 85 - 90kg midfielder. Combine this with his breakneck acceleration, a high top speed and good to very good skills and he could be the complete package.

Both sound good damn I really want another first round draft pick.

It's probably worth noting that there are a few of these players that have absolutely no chance of dropping to our first pick...

Swallow
Darling
Bennell
Day
Gaff
Gorringe
Atley

absolutely no chance, whereas one or more of the others may slip

Smith sounds like the perfect package. Not convinced he'll fall to us.
