Not sure about Ward and Clark being classed as recylcled, they weren't out of favour at their old clubs. You wouldn't have called Ablett or Judd recycled when they moved to their new clubs.

To my mind, a recycled player has been discarded (delisted) before reused (drafted). Trades and free agents are not recycled.
Surely Joel Patful would be a strong contender. Delisted by Port Adelaide in 2004, has been a regular player for the Lions every year since and just topped it off with a club best and fairest.
Edit: I'll add Matt Maguire to the list of top recycled players too. Delisted by St Kilda and drafted by Lions in 2009, he has had his best year in 2012. Rarely beaten in a 1-on-1 contest this year and would be the N0. 1 fullback for many AFL teams.
