Here's round 9:

top50-round-9.jpg

Rankings from St Kilda v Richmond:
10 - Jack Riewoldt
8 - Brett Deledio, Ivan Maric
7 - Trent Cotchin, Brendan Goddard, Dustin Martin, Nick Riewoldt, David Armitage
6 - Lenny Hayes, Shaun Grigg, Nick Dal Santo, Shane Tuck
5 - Nathan Foley
4 - Jack Steven

FYI, I realise Armitage is not on the round 9 top 50.
This is a mistake on my part, he should be in the unluckies atm.

Seems to be a lot of big jumps/falls which seems strange given we are approaching half way mark of year, 1 game shouldn't be making that big a difference for example not sure how Griffen went from 17 to 11 on back of an average game, Sloan down to 18 and Hooker from not even in unluckies to 41 and above Lake, seriously? The 5 standout key defenders this year have easily been Rance, Richards, Lake, Glass and Henderson.

Hooker has been seriously good this year.

Hooker has been seriously good this year.

He has been good defensively but doesn't offer a lot of attack and has also missed 2 games. On dogs board voting for year is Boyd 20 Griffen 19 and third is Lake 16, he has been very good and a fair bit above Hooker. Hooker should be in unluckies not at 41.

All looks good liking the backs in the top 50, the only that seems out of place is Sam Mitchell at 17. He has had 5 average games this year and seems way to high.
I have him in my supercoach team so i have been keeping a really close eye on him lol.

I would probably have Lake just ahead of Hooker due to playing two more games but it is worth noting that the most goals Hooker has had kicked on him is 3.

There are a lot of jumps and falls because I wanted to rectify some of my rankings.
For instance, Griffen was moved higher not so much on his game last week but because I was underrating him before.
Many people commented on how Sloane was too high so I rectified that too.
Hooker vs. Lake, well I rate Hooker's season better, just.
But Lake is the first cap off the rank in the unluckies so a good game will see him in the 50 this week.

As has Lake, his game and opponents goals so far;

Cox/Nic Nat 3 Poor
Tippett 0 Very Good
Kosi 1 Good
Falou 0 Average
Cloke 2 One of Best
Petrie 3 One of Best
Day 0 BOG
Hawkins 3 Good

People must still have last year on their minds as he has been great this year bar round 1, and Hooker misses again tonight meaning he has now missed nearly a third of season.

Nathan Jones should break into the top 50 this week. I know the Dees have been terrible but Jones has polled in every match on the Dees Board MVP.

Kennedy good but not dominant. Richards sensational and had him 3rd BOG. Jack 5th BOG. Jetta quiet in the 1st half but came good in the 2nd.

1. Kennedy (still top 5 for mine)
2. Richards (should rise)
3. Kieren Jack (could rise)
4. Lewis Jetta (probably ended up doing enough to stay in but not an issue if he drops out)

Borderline: Parker, Hannebery
