From Frem v Ess:
9 - Watson
7 - Stanton, Ryder
6 - Crameri, Howlett

I'm actually at a loss as to the Fremantle players I should rank.
Is there any Fremantle player now anywhere near the top 50?
Pav's last couple of games have been great, but he's probably not quite in contention.
Sandilands injured, Hill not playing, Pearce has dropped off.

Good first half but nearly uncited in second half, played on Brown who was goalless, Griffen same, ok first half and nothing in second, Boyd had a poor game start to finish. Rockliff perfect 10 game, Redden pretty good too. Something like;

Rockliff 10
Redden 8.5
Lake 6
Griffen 5
Boyd 4
 
Very, very generous on Stanton as well.

Darcy actually made good comments last night about Stanton calling for the ball in shocking situations. 5 at best.

Likewise Ryder. Kicked a crucial goal and came into the match towards the end but for roughly 3 quarters, he didn't do much.

Very harsh on Ryder imo. He didn't do anything spectacular but he picked up 15-20 touches, 10 marks, 20 odd hit outs and a goal. I think CD had him ranked up in the top 5-10 players?

Victim of his own high standards/potential?

Yeah I don't think he had any real influence on the game.

Ryder was all over it in the second. Stanton got coaches votes.

I think eagles original marks were best, Ryder and Stants were 7s for me. Watson only an 8.5.

Ryder has more 1%ers than nearly every other ruckman. When you don't watch what he does closely it can be easy to fall into the Luke Darcy school of missing half of the game. Ryder missed a few touches in the first half which was noticeable, but when he started getting involved in the second it didn't stand out as well because he's already set that as his standard this year, and Watson was getting all the adulation. As mentioned above, most contested marks and hitouts on the ground.

Likewise Stanton, who Darcy mentioned correctly once as having called when he shouldn't, then called him out again a number of times when it wasn't the case at all. Darcy kept pushing that agenda though the circumstances were hardly the same. 20 kicks and 7 tackles indicates how hard Stanton actually worked. Also popped up with 5 clearances - same as 'best game of his life' Myers.
 
Nathan Jones BOG against the GWS. Really think he would be a hard one to rate. He is really having a terrific season despite the Dees poor form though. On the Demons board MVP he has been rated in our top 5 players every game so far this season. Remarkable consistency even if he isn't up against much competition. Personally I think he would have to be pushing top 20.

So easy to lose track during the bye weeks!

Sewell very unlucky was best on ground in round 11 and was solid in round 12. Surprised to see him drop from the 50

Sorry, could have just as easily taken Robinson out.
He's darn close though so certainly will be in my sights if anyone in 40-50 drops off.
 
Would like to think Swan has been ahead of Rance but don't want to get greedy by insisting we have 4 players in the top 20.

Nick Riewoldt deserves to be in the 50. Compare his numbers to Crameri....

Yes I know stats aren't the be all and end all - but I think Riewoldt has been pretty underrated this year..
At the absolute bare minimum he's had a better year than Mitch Robinson, no?
