Doesn't matter now because he is out for the season but Mitch Clark has been better than Cloke. How is he not even in the unluckies?

Would like to think Swan has been ahead of Rance but don't want to get greedy by insisting we have 4 players in the top 20.

Nick Riewoldt deserves to be in the 50. Compare his numbers to Crameri....

Yes I know stats aren't the be all and end all - but I think Riewoldt has been pretty underrated this year..
At the absolute bare minimum he's had a better year than Mitch Robinson, no?
Yes & no. Keep in mind his stats include 11 goals (19 marks, 42 disposals) he's kicked in their 2 matches against Gold Coast.

But he has been solid this year. Crameri, Cloke, Reiwoldt & (the improving) Pav probably not too far apart. Crameri probably less consistent.

From Essendon v Dogs:
9 - Jobe Watson, Ben Howlett
8 - Brent Stanton, Matthew Boyd
7 - Paddy Ryder
4 - Ryan Griffen, Cale Hooker
3 - Brian Lake, Stewart Crameri

FYI, I gave the 10 votes to Heath Hocking.

Usually I completely agree with you, but can't say I agree with these.

Not sure what more Jobe needs to do to get a 10, and not entirely sure what Hooker did so badly to deserve a 4 either.

I'd personally go with.

10 - Watson, (Hurley)
9 - Howlett
8 - Ryder, Stanton, (Hocking)
7 - Hooker.

Jack BOG. Kennedy 3rd BOG. Jetta 5th BOG. Richards didn't have to do much but Patton didn't do anything, so clear Richards win.

Jack has closed the gap on Kennedy. Kennedy's still our best player so far this year and still playing very well just not at his consistent BOG level over the first 6ish weeks.

1. Kennedy
2. Jack
3. Richards
4. Jetta
-----------------

Top 4 were dominant again, so it's easy picking the Swans this year. All 4 should be in AA calculations.

Unlucky: O'Keefe (best of the rest but not top 50 material)

From Adel v Rich:
9 - Scott Thompson, Shane Tuck
8 - Ivan Maric, Trent Cotchin, Taylor Walker
7 - Brett Deledio, Sam Jacobs, Ben Rutten
6 - Patrick Dangerfield, Brent Reilly, Rory Sloane
4 - Jack Riewoldt

Pretty much correct from my view.

Maybe a bit harsh on Riewoldt, seen much worse games given 4's or 5's but wouldn't have him in the top 50 regardless. You forgot to rank Rance or maybe that was by design. Was probably his worst game of the season. He was really poor. He should continue to drop a fair bit. Shame after he has such a quality start to the year.

Lids, Cotchin, Maric and Tuck were all very good. Couldn't have done much more, just let down by too many passengers/kids.

Agree with everything here. Definite 10 game from Watson. Dempsey with an 8 too, not that it matters atm.

From Coll v Frem:
10 - Darren Jolly
9 - Dane Swan
8 - Dayne Beams, Matthew Pavlich
7 - Steele Sidebottom, Michael Johnson
3 - Travis Cloke

Apologies to Swan, toss up regarding him or Jolly for BOG.

Honestly I didn't think Jolly was that good until I saw his SC score. I would have rated him a 7. Swanny was clear BOG. Jarryd Blair could be coming into consideration for an unlucky spot now, his last couple of months have been outstanding, today was 2nd BOG behind Swan IMO.

How would you rate the Pies players this year r22?

With Pendlebury injured, Swan back in form, Beams/Sidebottom dominant, I guess it's hard to pick the B&F leader at this point?

FWIW this is how we've rated them according to the Pies board MVP:

32 - Pendlebury
29 - Beams
25 - Swan
24 - Sidebottom

(before this week)

Pendles SHOULD be back this week, but the best player overall is kinda hard to rate really. Sidey has been the most consistent, Beams has been great over the last 8 though. Swanny's best games have been out of this world, Pendles seemed to have stepped it up pre injury too.

So yeah, hard to rate. If I had to... Pendles > Swan > Beams > Sidebottom.

It must be stated that I realise how close Swan and Watson were to BOG.
This means that while you don't agree with my specific rankings of the games I do take them into account when devising the jumps and falls in the top 50.
In the Essendon v Bulldogs game there was five players Watson, Hurley, Hocking, Howlett and Dempsey. All of these could have been awarded BOG and I realise the reasons for Watson to get it were compelling, but I thought team-wise the Hocking demolition of Griffen was more important.
I thought Dempsey was better than Ryder and Stanton and would have given him a 9.
He will come into considerations for the unluckies, as will Jolly.

And here's round 14, hot off the press:
