Top five wins under RTB?

Mine would be a similar list:

1) vs. Geelong, Qualifying Final 2013
2) vs. Geelong, Elimination Final 2012
3) vs. Sydney, Preliminary Final 2013
4) vs. North Melbourne at Etihad, Round 22, 2012 - No Pavlich, everyone expected us to lose/tank so that we could then go on the following week to win against Melbourne and therefore play a home Elimination Final against WCE. Loved the way we won. 8 goals kicked in the last quarter set us up for an even better win against Geelong in the EF.
5) vs. Collingwood, Round 7, 2013. Highly entertaining, won without our big guns in Pav, Sandi, Fyfe, Hill and Griffin went down early in the first quarter. Loved how RTB made a few changes in the last quarter to help us win the game. Highlights included: Walters on fire, Zac Dawson in the ruck and Ballantyne getting a free kick from Heath Shaw punching him in the nuts :thumbsu:

Hard to argue with this list.

What's interesting is how many games against Geelong rate. Most people have two and some have three. It's interesting because I think we would rate as one of their bogy teams these days. I was hoping so much that the Kennet curse was good for one last match because I was totally convinced that we would have done them in a GF.

On the other side it now highlights that we really need to beat the Hawks. I believe that if we hadn't been smashed by them earlier in the year we would have done better in the GF. So whilst my top 5 has been covered above I think that I want a future top 5 match to be a real smashing of the Hawks.

PS is it time to start thinking about an extension to RTB's contract after all we don't want someone to do to us what we did to the Saints.

The Qualifying Final at the Litterbox is unquestionably the greatest win in our 19 years let alone in the RTB era.

My 5 aren't anything that hasn't already been mentioned, Geelong Elimination Final 2012, North Round 22 last season, Geelong Round 1 2012 and Collingwood this year, the fact we got into a lead, were overhauled but then ran away with it showed how good we were going to be. Was good to watch it on Fox Footy the other day..

Carlton this year was pretty decent, Port in Round 22 was impressive. Any win over the Weagles is a good win.

My 5 (results and circumstances included to emphasise the difficulty)
2nd QF 2013 vs Geelong, who would've thought? me :P, anyway 50/52 till that point up @ simmonds, they'd won there last 15 @ home (Geelong 9.18 (72) Freo 12.15 (87)) NOBODY GAVE US A CHANCE!!!
2nd PF 2013 vs Sydney Swans, what a pressure display, the atmosphere, the MCG Chant, the crowd, i was there :) what an amazing Saturday night footy :) and BT'S enthusiasm :) (Freo 14.15 (99) Swans 11.8 (74)
2nd EF 2012 vs Geelong, 1st finals win AWAY from Perth, AGAIN NOBODY GAVE US A CHANCE, i did :P, elimination of the reigning premiers on their home turf :) without Macca (it cost us the next week) what a mighty win! RTB :) (Geelong 11.14 (80) Freo 14.12 (96))
R7 2013 vs Collingwood, gee what a game, when we got out to a 44 point lead, 52-8 wow, how awesome, but even more so was our resilience and our response throughout the last quarter, when mooney kicked that goal i was thinking, not again, i was there :() but it wouldnt matter, kicking the last 5.3 of the game :) and to do it without Pavlich, Griffin, Fyfe, Bradley, Morabito, Hill, Clarke, Saindilands, 8 key names, wowee, i remember Anthony "Huddo" hudosn after the game, "a memorable win for this club" it was. (Freo 15.10 (100) Collingwood 10.13 (73)
and R10 2013 or R19 2012, vs Adelaide and Egays.
"A masterclass in the wet" according to dwayne russel, taking on Adelaide at AAMI who were in some ripping form, it was a typical RTB win that really launched our season, arguably our toughest win of the year, lifted us to 3rd on the table, and to respond after Dangerfields goal in the last, just that resilience and discipline, while it was easy to get frustrated and bomb away, we stuck to structures and our GP and got the choccas! i went crazy after Sutcliffes roller :) (Adelaide 8.11 (59) Freo 10.6 (66)) :)

also without Walters :) who had been in some ripping form, he'd kicked 8 goals on 2 weeks!

My favorite wins. Excluding finals 'cause any win in a final is awesome.

R1 2012 V Geelong- Completely misleading in regards to how we would end up playing our footy but the way we came out of the blocks that game. Thrilling.

R19 2012 V West Coast - Redemption for the hiding they gave us in R9. Plus Pav scored more then their entire team.

R22 2012 V Nth Melb. - Great win without Pav leading into finals. Plus I was there.

R16 2013 V West Coast - Always love a win against this mob. Same winning margin as round 1. Love the symmetry.

R19 V Carlton - Another crucial away win and I believe gave Freo fans real confidence about our upcoming finals campain. Plus I was there.

The PF win is a difficult one to rate, but I am leaving it out, obviously for the sense of occasion it was great but Sydney were cooked.

The 2 final wins against the cats were the best two IMO.
The Carlton game this year was near to the best we have played all year outside the finals.
I'll always remember that 1st game he ever coached vs Geelong fondly, that first 15 minutes when we piled on 5 goals I was in heaven
Can I vote for a game that wasn't a win? If so, the draw vs Sydney, great comeback
