MR O'Keefe said:Rioli is the most overated footballer in the Aps. He only gets a rap because of the legendary Maurice Rioli and that other Rioli from essendon who is a complete hack.
RIOLI=OVERATED

too truedutchy12 said:you are a complete drop kick. Hawkins is practically signed up to geelong, despite the game against scotch were no grammar boys performed. what evidence to you have to suggest he wouldnt???
Cordy said:Im sorry if im not one of Hawkins's school buddies, like you obviously are. You obviously have a fairly biased opinion or maybe its just the fact the soap gets dropped in your showers too often. Hawkins is crap and he will never play AFL.
Number 8 said:This is my top ten based on who has can and had the most influence on games in the APS competition this year
1. Ellis (MGS)
2. Hawkins (MGS)
3. Murray (Haileybury)
4. Rioli (Scotch)
5. Cain (St. Kevins)
6. Paule (MGS)

davo4030 said:After much thought and consideration i've decided to post my top 10 APS players of season 2005, please note that they do not include any Haileybury players as i have not seen them in action this season.
1. Ellis (MGS)
2. Ainger (Scotch)
3. Hawkins (MGS)
4. Laidlaw (Carey)
5. Kennedy (Xavier)
6. Cain (St. Kevins)
7. Eddy (Caulfield)
8. Rioli (Scotch)
9. McGuiness (Brighton)
10. Smith (Scotch)
davo4030 said:That is a very bad top 10 even with all your variables, "can/has/had". Paule and Morrison just scrape into the top 20, let alone top 10. Where's Kennedy, Laidlaw, Smith and Plymin?
Number 8 said:Paule burst through the packs with his pace and is the only player in the APS that can do it. As for Laidlaw, he can only use one side of his body. Smith was playing without an opponent for most of the year. Kennedy unlucky to miss out. And Plymin, probably unlucky as well.
davo4030 said:Posted this before i'd seen Haileybury play this year. So here is my revised top 10. Very tough and there will be noticeable omissions.
1.Ellis (MGS)
2.Murray (Haileybury)
3.Ainger (Scotch)
4.Hawkins (MGS)
5.Cain (St Kevins)
6.Kennedy (Xavier)
7.Eddy (Caulfield)
8.Fleming(Haileybury)
9.Rioli (Scotch)
10.Laidlaw (Carey)
Close:Smith,Raso,McGuiness,Darvell and Plymin.
Chosen to flip Cain and Kennedy based on hindsight.
yeah of corse mcguinness should be in there, might make it into draft a roughieFootyGuru said:are u serious no mcguinness, he averaged 37 possies a game by the end of the season and for the last 2 games he has played with burst apendics
theoffie said:mate there's a reason he was playing without an opponent, he's too ********ing good, noone can tag him. He'll play APS side for sure and will captain the thing next year
TheRedPill said:Nah sounds admirable, good on him, something I would never expect from a Haileybury footballer though![]()
