They could just have the weekend off? Is that water slide joint on the way to Geelong still open? They could go there.
Don't be ridiculous.
That place is way too cold to go to in the winter.

I want Jonathon Brown at Essendon. Have done for 10 years or more.
He fits the criteria. He'd be a great teacher for Daniher in particular.
Please Essendon...do it!!!
I knew there was a reason you were keeping him on Ice.http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/a...he-nab-challenge/story-fni5f22o-1227222652783
HAWTHORN
Dayle Garlett
Now there's a player from my club that fits the bill.
Why is it a legitimate reason to not play?
Would an aspiring actor take a role in a shit movie to build capital for their career?
the same sort of team spirit that got them in this mess. the cool aide spirit is very strong and a strength and weakness - lately the game has suffered greatly from itHow daft is it for a bunch of clean players to band together and refuse to play to create some silly smokescreen to protect the privacy of some alleged drug cheats?
Same kind of solid, team spirit that tells you to allow an idiot to inject unspecified random cutting edge 'amino acid' super goop on however many hundreds of occasions.
The bit I don't understand is why don't other clubs with ex-EFC players have the potential to get top up players.
I doubt they'd need them for the numbers, but in terms of position/depth, it could be useful.
Yeah, but he could try these amazing injections...Jono Brown, who was cooked midway through last year and stopped playing following medical advice. I doubt he's done any sort of training since.
Mmmmh 300k for talking on the radio or tele or 80k to play for EFC decisions decisions [emoji6]I want Jonathon Brown at Essendon. Have done for 10 years or more.

Just curious did Dell'olio and Hardingham have this same entitlement to anonymity before they were outted in the papers? There are a million threads on this. The code says they are innocent and anonymous until proven guilty. This helps to protect the anonymity that they are entitled to. Just drop it. Its decided now.
There aren't a million threads on this, exaggeration isn't a good look. There are a million threads on this. The code says they are innocent and anonymous until proven guilty. This helps to protect the anonymity that they are entitled to. Just drop it. Its decided now.

Why does their right to anonymity (which I don't agree with) out rank essendon's requirement to field a team? They're opposing forces and somebody decided that one outranks the other - and that means that other clubs (vfl/sanfl, etc) are paying a price. I don't agree with that at all unless the uninfracted depth players are injured.
And if it (the anonymous until proven guilty thing) is written into the code why is there all the talk about this boycott being player led? Why should anonymity be afforded when it really isn't in any other realm investigation and potential punishment.
And why would I just drop it because it's decided? Am I expected to just like and accept every decision from the afl? Is that how BigFooty is supposed to work?

It's a really valid point you make and one I hadn't really considered; had been more focused on the AFL perspective, hadn't considered that it (obviously in hindsight) also has a significant impact on the state league clubs who would stand to lose their top players. For the players, it could be a good opportunity. It makes no more sense, to lumber the requirement to provide the players on just these clubs/ leagues either, to top up a cheating AFL club.
One that actually has set of eligible players available to use.
Remembering also that two clubs in both the SANFL & WAFL are AFL aligned reserves teams. If the other AFL clubs aren't having to provide top-ups from their reserves teams, then I'm pretty sure they'll get themselves excluded as well.
That increases the load on the other 14 clubs - who are already struggling to retain good quality fringe players due to better $ and jobs being available in country leagues.
If it were a club devastated by illness, plane/bus crash, etc then yes you all pitch in to help.
But a top tier club that was intentuonally and knowingly pushing the boundaries; and wound up putting 34 of their players in this situation?
Nah. You reap what you sow.
