I think most posters on here have 1 topic that, if posted or mentioned, will gurantee a response.

For me it is the old VFL / SANFL thing. It has been done to death but if someone slips an innocent line in somewhere about no decent players playing in the SANFL or something like that I just cannot help myself.

Dan's would have to be the GF v top of the table thing.

Rooboy96 - anything mentionning North in a less than flaterring tone

PiesPremiers, SS11, Joffa et al........anything containing the word "Eddie" particularly when used in the same sentence as "fat" or "conflict".

Have a few that I usually make some comment on or reply to, if they come up.

1) Topics about the Brisbane-Fitzroy merger, especially when posters show they have little to no knowledge of what happened.
2) Relocation vs merging/folding. Usually in discussions about the future of the AFL competition and where new teams might come from...which I personally find interesting...having been through it myself with the Roys.
3) Fitzroy presence in the Brisbane Lions. Comes up once in a while, again usually from posters who aren't involved and know basically (to put it politely) stuff-all.

A few subjects that really get me going..most to do with port

Ports entry into the AFL. Not many people know the truth about what happened and everyone is quick to jump on ports back.

Anyone bagging Scott Hodges

Crows supporters bragging that they have more supporters than us (i mean errr, really, i wouldnt of guessed)

Crows supporters saying "we have two flags what have you done" when they didnt win a flag for 7 years, and this is only our 5th season.

Port fans saying they have more passionate, loyal supporters (than the Crows) who never bag their players

Here is a few that I find I can't help replying to :

1) Sydney and South Melbourne are different clubs

2) The AFL gives handouts to Sydney and Brisbane.

3) The SANFL was an inferior compe***ion to the VFL

4) John Coleman is the games greatest Full Forward

5) Essendon deserved to win the 1999 premiership and were stiffed in the PF

6) Colllingwood has more fans than Essendon and vice versa

7) Sydney sabotaged the Kangaroos in Sydney

8) Smaller weaker clubs should be allowed to go broke and drop out of the compe***ion.

9) "The umpiring cost us the game"

10) "god I hate the Footy Show" (don't watch it then ya goose)

Anything suggesting a merger/relocation/losing victorian clubs which brings nothing new to the argument that hasn't been there for 15 years. It appears even graham samuel is coming round to the idea that if a club can't survive in melbourne, it's got zero chance anywhere else

Actually anybody in the media who get their facts wrong. They are payed to know better. Getting facts wrong is eather laziness or them having a barrow to push(USC and The Rev. come to mind...)

VFL v SANFL is always a good argument...anything involving the Hawks.

Definitely anything involving a decision by the AFL Commission, or any decision that affects the future of a club or the compe***ion.

Rating players and discussing them is always interesting.

Ignore any discussion about whether Essendon-Collingwood is bigger.

I also hate topics that make light of less honourable actions.... ie salary cap cheating...

I hate topics that dredge up actions that occured years ago that offending clubs have been punished for. I hate topics that ignore the clubs that took advantage of the moratorium and treat them as though they didn't cheat. I hate topics that infer that a club that cheated in the past must be doing so now. I hate topics that infer that all of a clubs supporters make light of such an infringement despite them voting off the board those responsible for them.




Other than that, topics that infer premierships in the SANFL are relevant to the AFL and those that claim the VFL and AFL are different compe***ions.

Discussions on who has more supporters.
