Just went to put my tips in at the various comps.

Geez..... aside from the Hawks (and dont think im not thankful for that either) game, nearly everything else is 'who the hell do i pick here'??

Rich vs Coll, should favour the Tiges, but if the Woods go down the finals might be beyond them. So the incentive is there for them to really give it everything tonight.

Ess vs Carl, similar story, goodbye top four if the Blues drop it, plus they stuffed it for SOS in his 300th im sure they would be wanting a better effort for Braddles in his 350th. Saying that, if the Dons do lose, they are only a game clear of Brissie and the Hawks (percentage i know) but would they really want to take that chance?

Geel vs Melb, well the Dees finals hopes are over, so how many blokes might be playing for a spot on next years list now? Theres only five weeks left for some of them to prove themselves. The Cats, decent recent form, but this is exactly the type of game they have dropped in the past.

Swans vs Roos, both side in good form (if you can call Norths form good but stiff for the last two weeks). They dont like each other, Swans hammered them last time they met. Could North play well for three weeks in a row and still not get any reward?

Crows vs Port. Always going to be a big clash, regardless of ladder possies. Port need the win to keep a top four shot realistic, Crows need a win to keep a top eight shot realistic. Could the Power surge (hehe) or might they suffer a let down after last weeks big effort.

Lions vs Doggies. Now these two just HATE eact other, simple as that. Dogs lose, its nearly bye bye 2001. Brissie lose and maybe that top two possie (and home final) isnt the certainty people have been saying. Reckon this one is just going to be hell for leather all the way. Dogs should be riled after last week, yet the Lions are the form team of the comp.

Coasters vs Saints. Line through em, who the hell knows, no Hall for Saints eases the pressure on the Coasters backline. Yet if either of them win a couple more for the year, bang goes the extra draft pick. Maybe the first nil all draw as both side play from wing to wing all game?

Hawks vs Freo, geez we have to win this dont we???

All up, 7 out of 8 that could really go either way. Reckong there might be some unhappy tippers come Monday.

Cheers.

The only 2 absolute certainties are Essendon and West Coast. I think the Saints are shocking and we should beat them and even though its Bradleys 350th and the Blues beat them earlier in the year i just cant see the Essendon juggernaught losing two in a row.

No doubt about it. But, I will add Collingwood to that list of certainties. I have a feeling the Eagles wil win this easily. Not by just 3-4 goals but closer to 12 goals.

I've tipped the Saints actually

From what I saw of the WCE in Sydney last weekend, they haven't gotta hope of beating St Kilda.

Quite simply, they were a team that is playing with absolutely no confidence at all.

They were competitive enough around the ground but geez, they had absolutely nothing even remotely resembling a forward line.

Saint Kilda are an unskilled rabble, but if they can at least match the WCE around the ground (for chrissake tackle Saints !) they will have no difficulty in booting more goals than the Eagles.

Saints by 21

cheers

I'm struggling with my tips.

So far I've decided on Hawthorn, Essendon, Geelong.

Queries and concerns:

Rich v Coll - much of a muchness - but WHO? Toss a coin I think

Port v Adelaide: Can Port back up after such a high intensity match last week? Adelaide looked shocking (despite winning) last round.....??????

Swans v Roos: Hmmmmmmm Sydney playing well and have a great record at home, BUT you can't ever write Nth off. However as Grendel said, can they lose three close ones?

Lions v Doggies - HUGGGGGE rivalry - which the media up here in Brissy has been playing up all week. This is a huge match, can the Lions carry on their winning streak for a 9th week? Can the Doggies back up after their tough loss last week, are they still seething over that loss and want to avenge it?????

WC v St - Two poorly performing teams. Can the Eagles kick more than 4 goals by half time? Will the Saints yet again drop a half time/ 3 qtr time lead? Gees - who knows....

You could only fluke all 8 this week I think

Question is for hawks supporters:

The doggies will be fired up, but can they roll brisbane at the gabba ? would be a good result for us, no doubt.

I've tipped Richmond - Collingwood's backline just doesn't look like having the strength or height to deal with the Tigers, much like the Bulldogs couldn't last week.

St. Kilda over West Coast - just because I haven't tipped the Eagles once all season, why would I start now?

Brisbane should win, but I hope they don't. Essendon will win. Hawthorn should win, but who knows, the Dockers can't go without a win all season.

Port will win, Geelong will win.

The real tough one is Sydney v North - Sydney are in good form, home game and North have lots of key players out - but they can't keep losing the close ones - I think I'll give them one more chance.

Just a tip people, Port will win this week, I'll guarantee that. Too many midfield options, lots of firepower up forward and rock solid defence. Might be competitive for a little while, but game will be over early in the 4th quarter. So I suggest you all tip the Power.

Apparantly (according to the morons I work with  ) Brisbane's average winning margin over the last 4 (I think) matches is 8 goals.

After a good, long and hard think about it - I've decided on Brisbane winning. I just can't see the dogs backing up after last weeks loss to Richmond.

And Pess - I'm actually hoping that Bris (as well as the Hawks) win every game remaining - so that the first final is up here - selfish I know - but it makes my decision on which games to fly to Melbourne for a lot easier :D

Easy round IMO.

Richmond to roll the Maggies, who have only beaten Freo in the last 4 weeks.

Geelong over the D's. Too good, and have something to play for.

Hawthorn over Freo...no need to give a reason there!

Sydney over the Roos. At home, in form, and the Roo's doubting if they can make the 8.

Port to run over the Crows, and to finally put their finals campaign to bed.

Brissie over the Doggies. Simply too good at home.

Essendon over Carlton. They can't lose two in a row, and Carlton don't have the firepower.

West Coast over St. Kilda. No Hall to kick goals, and West Coast have proved they can play over the last month.

Not that hard, I expect 8 on Monday :D
