Reckon the shepherd he layed on that spud Liam Jones in the lead up to Dusty's goal will be replayed to the playing group during the match review. The bloke is hard as nails and really does great job keeping the ball in the forward line and bringing it to ground against bigger opponents. Makes the most of his opportunities in front of goals and is great foil for JR8 and Caddy.

I know it's a little mean spirited but he really is our very own Bobby Bouchet. I mean on field of course.

Spot on , coach would ****en love that vision clearing a path for dusty. How was his 4th goal from the pocket , wasn’t much daylight between the big sticks , pure gold

So just as good as Tom Lynch but at 10% of the price

Its amazing what confidence does to a player

In the book they touch on towno and how he is a player really low on self belief and how requires positive reinforcement

I reckon he now believes in himself and better still his team mates have so much trust in him.

Dermie is a massive fan of this kid and really goes out of his way to meet up with him and talk him up

If you're into Judaism he could be simply referred to as Jacob.

Old Testament was a tough, violent world. Kind of like the world Jacob brings to the oppo week in week out.

Yep the reference on that is Dusty’s tracer bullet pass in 1Q to spot him up one out in sq v Jones. if he didn’t rate him, would have kicked it himself

Very competitive chap. Hard at it. Thats all i want from everyone.

Plus his kicking is brill, and he gets in the right places.

Also wrapt to hear him interviewed post match and not let his stammer deter him. He is a gem.

Picked it 2 weeks ago.

Will kick 40 plus goals this season.

Well i picked it when we first recruited him. Was a elite junior and i said we have a good quality half forward. Obviously dimma was slow on the up take which allowed certain footy experts to knock me about my confidence in jacob.

He had some things to work on. Turned it around and unbelievably can also play in the midfield if he’s needed

Hopefully he keeps this form up and gets another contract. What else you got?
