Wasn't aware of that, in my time there I got a couple of warnings but never found them over the top, perhaps they softened up that hard line.
I really like both sites for some different reasons, in a way it's great we are all on one site.

I've told '54 (Mick) that you'll be looking for us upstairs in the corporate function at Alberton on Saturday - matrix is coming - I am surprised he hasn't joined BF yet (Mick and I are working on him) - we're planning to arrive there by 10-45am and will head on upstairs because apparently I am shouting the first round of drinks while we watch the second half of the Maggies - South game.

Good to see numbers of TPFPers come over to BF and it makes me feel a bit better about losing TPFP which was really a part of my and many others lives - it's been a wonderful resource for Port fans over the years - Vi, djay and Mark did a great job and again I thank them so much for all that time and effort - unfortunately Vi won't be at Alberton this Saturday - I U2U'd her in TPFP last week to see if they were going so we could catch up.

can you see things like
- personal details
- contact details
- alerts
- likes you've received etc

If so then maybe as a newbie you have to wait. Or maybe you have to be a paid up member for those privileges. Ford Fairlane might know the full reason why.
 
Didn't know where to post this as there was no Daniel Flynn on our list in the players section. All I want to say is home sickness ? Really ? I know his grandfathers ill but homesickness !!

Finally managed to get the wife and kids off the computer for long enough to post my first Bigfooty contribution. Gotta say it's very sad to lose TPFP: it was a huge part of many people's lives. Wednesday week would have been the second anniversary of my joining the site: not to be. Anyway - at least we've got Bigfooty :)

I tell you guys, I'm salivating at the thought of the real footy getting under way in a few weeks and simultaneously stressing at the idea of trying to watch the game while keeping up with what I expect will be a flood of biblical proportions of posts on the game day thread.

As it is, tonight I should be organising myself for the next few busy days I have ahead of me plus catching up with today's load but I keep getting drawn back to the keyboard addiction. Between this thread, Flynny and the cricket I'm getting nowhere fast! :)

Lou - giving up footy discussion with you blokes is like an alcoholic trying to give up alcohol, or Stephen Rowe trying to stop being stupid: it's damn tough :).
 
I'm not going to read 20 pages but I'm sure that I can speak on behalf of most interstaters and call Vi an absolute champion.
In the days pre Foxtel and the like her site was the only place to get PA news. I'm even talking pre Big Footy.

Thanks heaps Vi for all the work and dedication over so many years, and if one day there is a vote for life mbership you have my vote.
