Ok TPFP was unique in its own way & being a member since 2004 it feels really strange it not being there. Am pissed off how quick & sudden it was & as some have said maybe someone could have taken it over. Doesn't matter now as I'm learning to navigate my way through this site & is quite good.

It is actually very rare if you stick to the Port board! I suggest treading carefully on other boards until you get a feel for which ones are touchy. Or not.

A reminder for those recently joined who may be into Dream Team or Supercoach that we have Bigfooty Port leagues that compete against other teams leagues in the BF Champs.

If interested please reply here and we will get you into a league.

We get a lot more freedom here and the poster base has quite a few younger lads, this won't gel with everyone from TPFP, but the guys who do decide to stay will enjoy it, and bigfooty will be better for it.

Take the jump and get involved, post in some threads. (Probably best to leave thread creation till you have got a good feel for the place).

However don't just come on and outwardly say "I hate this site", because that won't be any good for you, and it won't do any good for us. Therefore it's pointless.

We know some of you are grieving from your loss of TPFP, but sometimes change comes suddenly and you either adapt or you get left behind, the same attitude the club has taken the last few years to get us back on track. TPFP will not come back, the hierarchy there would never relinquish the website name or it's content to anyone else. This is part of the reason they outwardly closed it.

So please, feel welcome here. If you don't have anything positive to post about bigfooty, simply don't post. Have a lurk for a while, then when you feel comfortable make a post in a thread. I just urge you all to give it time and have an open mind, especially to the banter.
