Welcome to all the TPFP refugees.

Port Adelaide on Bigfooty is a club that has made it's presence felt, right from being the last club board created back in 2001, to now being just one more busy club board.

We have a habit of getting things done here, so join in, it'll improve your time talking Port Adelaide.

You forgot to say carnapear.

I haven't felt this much love since I accidently gatecrashed a site called Lesbian Moms in Lingerie.
I told them I was a 40 plus never married librarian who wore plaid shirts and sensible shoes, plus I had a diamond stud in my tongue.

I had no idea there were so many kinky women around. lol

You mean you aren't a lesbian mum in lingerie?

Hows Mannum these days? My mothers family come from there...it was a huge part of my childhood, but my mother said it has changed a hell of a lot
we moved up here 8 years ago, we love it, hell of alot of gossiping though. The mannum Roos won the A grade premiership last year so it was pretty good being inolved in that as I was secretary of the club. Sport and drinking is probably the most serious business in town.

I find this site so much easier to navigate in terms of finding exactly where I've read up to in every thread.

If I've been away from here for a day or so, even half a day, you can just click the thread title and you're where you left off from your previous visit.

To those from TPFP feeling their way, Black Diamond Corner is a random topic forum... All the footy discussion is in the Port Adelaide - EST 1870 forum.

Embrace it mofos.... This place rocks.

I love it when you talk dirty axeman.

Good to know the gossiping hasn't changed. My ancestors were pioneers of Mannum, but mostly around the Younghusband area I think. I still remember the '74 flood...old timers would probably still talk of '74 and '56. I don't know much about the footy club other than they were green and gold

The biggest flood since then was back in 92, have not seen many photos of the 74 flood but have seen the markings, 56 was simply phenomenal, it's hard to imagine that much water.

You just described most country towns :)

I can't find any family photos(ones I have er..acquired anyway) of the '74 flood, but I found one of a snowstorm from '67 and a couple of footy ones from the '70's I think are at the Mannum showground, MP

Well, I've made the move:)

I'll no doubt miss many aspects of TPFP. Well done to Vi and the gang for running, for what I believed, a very good forum.
I must admit, I'm now seeing where some of the old TPFP users have ended up - here. It'll be great to view their opinions once again.
Things I really enjoyed about TPFP may not or may not feature on here.

  • Firstly, does anyone upload training and gameday photos on here?
  • Secondly, on TPFP, we were able to click on 'Today's posts'. It sorted ALL posts, from ALL forums. Is there a way to view all posts from all PAFC forums on a single page within this big footy forum?
However, I can see a number of features, which I am going to like. e.g. Tapatalk for phones and the general layout of threads.
A simple 'like' button is ideal rather than having to reply 'top post' or 'x2'.

Regardless of pointing out the pros and cons of BigFooty vs TPFP, i'm bloody happy I still have a spot to discuss the greatest club on Earth.
Thanks to those who moderate and organise this forum.
My great relationship with the PAFC BF site will continue and most Power training photos (when sessions are open) will be posted, as well as most Magpie game day photos at the suburban grounds. Big thanks to all members who have posted on my photos and commented on them over the years. Go the Power and Magpies in 2014. WE ARE PORT ADELAIDE

You need to change your avatar to a 40+ year old librarian in a plaid shirt.

OK, not a plaid shirt but pretty close?

Just another who's followed the trail here from TPFP:)

I've been logging onto my PC every day this week and going to tpfp half expecting it to reappear. I actually thought it was April Fools at first until I realized it was a month early. Anyway, I'm happy to be here and love keeping up-to-date with all things Port Adelaide.

Many thanks to Vi, Mark and others for your efforts with tpfp and all the best for the future. I'm sad to see it go but really happy to have found an alternative.

Also, welcome refugees. Please enjoy your stay and remember to wipe your feet and leave your shoes at the entrance.

If any of you new guys/gals or even old bigfootyers are wondering what the SFA is about and the Alberton Swamprats please go here http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/sfa-information-and-sign-up-thread.1036958/ .
In short we are a fantasy football team with mainly port supporters involved. There is a ten team competition where each week we play a simulated match on a program called Qooty. There are match threads each week where we get to hang shit on the opposition (in a friendly manner). It's all a bit of fun and if you enjoy Bay 13 then the SFA is the place for you.

Thanks MP, Spook inboxed an application form to me..I'm still going over the finer points. Obviously the height and weight answers are for your imaginary player as I would gather a 4',3" 18 stone bald guy would not hold down the centre half forward position successfully

EDIT: Oh and MP I hope those pics I posted for you were in fact taken at the Mannum Showground and not Tailem Bend? That fence looks familiar to the one I saw picked up still in one piece and deposited in the cemetary at the back after a voilent storm in the late '70's
