Will email matrix now Greg and tell him he must join as a fair few of us have now done so - have just left a message on 54's answering machine (before I read back in here to see he's been trying to join) advising him that I have just joined - let's hope all the right people come over to BF from TPFP.

Geez that was hard work, I have been trying to join up since 11.00 am this morning, but nothing was happening, so I changed my name from 1954 to persona non grata .and hey presto it worked. lol

I need some love guys ( in the nicest possible way of course ) the main squeeze has gone home to her mum complaining I was spending too much time on the computer, but worse still she has taken my bottle of 18 yo Chivas Regal with her. waaaaaaaaaaaaah

ATM I am so thirsty I would drink a can of the schnitzel's ( Wilbur 15 ) squaws water ( I think it is called VB ).

Anyway back to reality, many thanks to groshy and Macca for their ` technical ' advice.

Much sadness re the demise of TPFP, and I wish Daryl and Vi all the best.

Glad to see you made it at last '54. I think you are going to have to have a serious think about upgrading from Windows 95. Not the bottle of Chivas? But you were going to send me a photo of it!

I was on tpfp (under a different name) as well but have been a member on here for quite some time but don't usually post. Wishing Vi, Djay and Mark all the best and I thank them for the hard work and long hours they put in but I'm not surprised that they have called it a day. Unfortunately when you take on such a huge responsibility and don't delegate you can burn out and find something that once gave you joy now gives you grief. It's also not surprising that they have been abused and threatened, but they also abused and threatened back in their own way. I was banned once because of a simple misunderstanding and they took it as an personal attack, hence I very rarely visited there after that.
I also know of members who posted things on there and on this site who were banned because tpfp thought it was their right to have "ownership" of everything that was posted there, including photos that people had taken and were kind enough to share.
It was a great site for information but over the last couple of years that information was either deleted or not updated which was a pity. Social media has also taken over from forums such as tpfp and people were visiting that site less and less.
Hopefully Vi can now focus on her health and family.
