I am absolutely amazed that REH was banned from TPFP, I can't recall him ever posting anything remotely offensive, or even contoversial.

I was never banned from the site, but probably should have been when I threatened to stretch the bloke with the giraffe avatars neck and insert it in another part of his anatomy ( or die trying lol ).

I remember receiving at least 20 U2U's from posters who wanted to do the same thing, so I guess that may have saved me.

Ahhh antigravitas I remember him, I think he came over here at one stage.

This site needs wildboys to migrate across. He was a great resource. If wb posted that Port were gone, which was often, we won.

Absolutely. I 'stirred' wildboys about it a few times. A few posters were agitated by his negativity at times but I think he was just a little misunderstood and as you said, invariably when wildboys said "game over" we'd come from behind and win!

Yeah fortunately I had the TPFP home page open in a tab before the shut down so copied it right from there then tweaked it up to the recommended 200 x 200 for here. What was this argument antigravitas all about. I remember both the nic and the avatar but that's all.

It did cause a lot of anger, frustration and words said, like '54 alluded to, and got to the stage where he/she/it was calling for mine and '54's banning. Vi got that frustrated she told me she was going to close the site down then and there, for good. I apologised and immediately ceased, as did '54, the giraffe hung around for awhile and then disappeared. I tell you it was a very stressful time and I really felt for Vi. It was the first time I was emotionally affected by the internet

'54 good to see you migrate over here. I think you will enjoy over here. Plenty of wide debate and there are a few posters who like you, saw the glory days of 6 in a row.

I got banned for 2 weeks when I tried to take the info I wrote in this mega thread about Stadium Deals in March 2009 over to TPFP. Ford Fairlane asked me to put all the stuff I had on stadiums into one thread after Haysman came out at his presser and said the Footy park deal was unsustainable. So I was cutting and pasting all the stuff I had written on both sites and started a thread on big footy. I then attempted to transfer it over to TPFP. I think Vi thought I had taken stuff from TPFP over to here. But it was only my stuff in the original post and in a few subsequent posts I acknowledged what I had borrowed from TPFP and gave links. All the stuff I copied and pasted filled up 82 pages of a word document. Here is the thread.

The other 2 x 24 hour bans I got, one was I took a link from there to here and didn't acknowledge it and another time I put up an article link here which I found myself but because of the timing it looked like I had taken it direct from TPFP. I was a bit pissed off so I was very careful after that. That last ban was about 6 months after the Stadium Deal thread 2 week ban.

The giraffe was definitely a bloke toady, he was always super negative ( as alluded to by another poster on this thread ), but his worst trait ( I believe ) was his non stop dissection of other posters' opinions and his need to have the last word on every thread.

Now for someone far more interesting ( Boydman ), who was apparently banned for life from TPFP, I was told he gravitated to Big Footy, is he still around?

Yes a big welcome to all those who have come over from TPFP. So many have joined up in the last 24 hours. I hope the banter and discussion and info sharing that happen over at TPFP continues over here for the newbies. The 2 sites were different but that was fine by me. The thing about Big Footy is that it has so many other discussion boards and more people to interact with on those boards. that's why the last couple of years I spent less time on TPFP. I was spending more time on the main footy board, the PED discussion on the Hot Topics board and other sports and non sport boards.
