So if I were to get on the Adelaide forum and post MY version of the Crows club song, they wouldn't be impressed? :)
Beware. If you post there you need to be able to decipher **** and #*#*. Politeness does not help. It is an alternative reality.

If that's the one where they were formed in a courtroom you probably will find they won't welcome you with open arms

Feel free to post it here. If you want, I'll start a thread for you to do so?

can you see things like
- personal details
- contact details
- alerts
- likes you've received etc

If so then maybe as a newbie you have to wait. Or maybe you have to be a paid up member for those privileges. Ford Fairlane might know the full reason why.

I can see all those things you have listed, but not anything for signature.
I'm thinking because I am a newbie, that may be the case that I will need to wait.

Cheers

We're the shame of South Australia
We're the cheating Adelaide Crows
We've lost all credibility
More than anybody knows
The list of all the lies we've told
Is as long as Bill Lawry's nose
We're the shame of South Australia
We're the cheating Adelaide Crows

:)

Nice one phil.

When they recruited Carey I used to sing "We're the laughing stock of Australia, we're the ordinary Adelaide Cows"

Made the switch. All the cool kids are doing it.

I feel that my 1st post on this site should be a tribute to TPFP so here goes, I'm writing it quickly so it may not make sense but I have to write something about it all:

I joined TPFP in 2006, it was the first forum I ever knew about and/or used. I went on there with the distinct agenda to start lobbying for a new stadium. It was my first thread and I started several others after that . So to see Adelaide Oval go ahead was extremely satisfying for me and I couldn't help but feel that putting out an opinion and trying to get the ball rolling helps and every little bit from everyone that pushed for the move helped.

After that I assisted Vi and Mark with their database and uploading SANFL stats into the database for a while and that was great, I had an all access pass and could see and edit all the info they had and it was impressive.

I've made over 10k posts, in fact I think I was at about 15k, and apart from a few run ins with a few people (mainly Robbo for a while and Bedders lately) I think all in all most of it was just good debate with great people and importantly I never once had an issue with Mark or Vi that I didn't create myself with an 'over the top' post.

After a while on TPFP I got the chance to blog for the Herald Sun as they liked my posts and analysis on TPFP, and that was a thrill which earnt me a nice $500 voucher that I'll always be appreciative of.

I spent a lot of time on TPFP. It was an incredible source of up to date news, it was so incredibly easy to use and just became part of my daily routine. Since it's demise I find myself regularly lost as to where to go for the news updates and where to go to talk about something that just happened. Having spent significant time on Bigfooty in the past it was always obvious that TPFP was a superior site in many ways, and as such I really haven't used bigfooty much at all over the last few years. However now it is my new home and I must learn to embrace it again.

I'll always have a soft spot for TPFP and I would like to thank Vi and Mark for their amazing contribution. So thanks guys for giving me such a great place to share our passion the PAFC together.

The only disappointment I have is that is closed so suddenly. I'm very disappointed that there was no warning and no effort made to see if others could take over the site. It is an incredible waste of time and effort to let such a site go. Additionally I hope to god the Mark and Vi hand all their records to the PAFC so that hopefully they can be shared with everyone. Stats and records like that should never be kept to one person and it'd be a massive waste of their hard work not to pass them on.

Like it. I'm also reliably informed by the voices inside my head that the acronym CROWS stands for Can't Remember Our Winning Song.

That was probably my greatest disappointment (apart from the site going) that we had no warning and that there was no effort to see if it could be retained by new administrators.

Devastated that TPFP is gone, but have made my way across and it is good to see many of the same posters plus REH present, who I had noticed to have gone missing recently.
Disappointed also that there was no notice and really hope some of the information available in the historic threads could make it across here at some point.

Finally managed to get the wife and kids off the computer for long enough to post my first Bigfooty contribution. Gotta say it's very sad to lose TPFP: it was a huge part of many people's lives. Wednesday week would have been the second anniversary of my joining the site: not to be. Anyway - at least we've got Bigfooty :)
Ahhh there you are Phil - welcome to BF - that's another ex TPFPer over here now - you going to Alberton on Saturday for the Maggies - South and Power - Saints game?

As others said, it would've been nice to have some warning so we could organise a transfer of users to other forums like this one or to keep the site running with other administrators. TPFP was my favorite PAFC forum and I'll miss it. But well, nothing is forever and this site looks better from a graphics point of view. I hope some other TPFP users find their way here. I already miss Matrix (or is he around here as well?)

So why cant someone take over TPFP? I hate this site.

I tried contacting Vi and offered to maintain support the site but I haven't heard from them. I also would like to resurrect TPFP. Anybody knows Vi and co personally?

I don't like this place either. The forum software is too up to date and there are too many differing opinions. cyas.

LOL. I know this is better software but some people were used to TPFP. I read elsewhere here that TPFP used to ban people?
