I agree '54, apart from an initial 24 hour ban when I was a newbie...I never experienced a ban. And I myself started some very heated discussions about Choco, and also a heated debate with his alleged sister. I was surprised to have read posts here in the past referring to TPFP as having a ban on anti choco posts. I for one never experienced that

You think that was bad then you should have seen what was going on regarding the magpies/reserves thing. I think 90% of my posts were deleted.

They were sensitive to negative comments ... I got banned for mentioning TPFP on big footy or vice versa ... can't even recall now what it was altho I'm sure I'll get reminded ... I did on here once be4 when i stated this

It's certainly a bit more relaxed on BigFooty compared to TPFP I've noticed.

Users on here aren't afraid to give a bit of a playful jab to opposition supporters when the time is right, and the mood is usually much more casual and laidback. Another big difference I've noticed is there's much more humor on BigFooty in general, some posters on here give good laughs.

TPFP, well sometimes it seemed cliquey and any opinions you had outside what was deemed acceptable was quickly shot down or banned. I still kind of miss TPFP, but it definitely had its flaws (as attested by this thread).

Hey all,

So after much research and reading of forums I've decided on this for my new "online alberton home" Originally from the TPFP, my name was green_lantern13 (if anyone remembers me!) but after coming here and seeing so many posters that I regarded such as 1954 and Russell Ebert Handball, I felt this was the right place to get my online fix.

I want to thank Vi and all involved with the running of TPFP. It was a great online escape for me to interact with passionate supporters of our club. Being a second generation supporter growing up in NSW, you don't get the chance to interact with people with similar interests, and as a result I ended up finding myself on that site numerous times a day!

Thank you to the veterans of big footy for welcoming us TPFP folk, we had a great online family and I'm sure that will continue here.

Relaxed ?? I got banned here for 24 hours just for mentioning someone's knee before I even reached 50 posts. I feel as tho I'm walking on egg shells. I don't think it's more relaxed at all. It is what it is here so I just have to watch what I say. I will definitely not post here if I'm upset that's for sure !

It's a new site with new rules buddy I guess they need to be respected. I'm enjoying this forum now as I've learnt to navigate my way through. As in TPFP there are a lot of people on here with great knowledge of the game. I'm just glad we've found a new home.

I think it's more of where you say things than what you say is what will get you banned.

If you have a bit of a joke about another team on the Port board it's a good laugh for everyone, but mods on other boards aren't as friendly towards some homour.

G'day Muzza. You are more than welcome to contribute to, or start, PAFC history threads in the Port Adelaide Magpies sub-board. There is a Club History prefix for these threads.
