Seems a bit that way. It's got me stumped guys. I won't lose any sleep over it (as I'm sure neither of you Macca19 and Forzaport would have either) but I am somewhat intrigued as to why.
Were you both mods here at the time? Did you cut and paste from there to here? Have a crack at TPFP on here? I know Vi has an account here. Wonder if she's had a look here at all since she shut down the site.

No doubt I would. Can't speak for Vi though. It may not be anywhere near the top of her list ATM, all things considered.

I did notice a few regular posters disappear in a puff of smoke, remember Bionic? Posted everyday, sterted quite a few threads and used to post links to articles quite regularly. Then all of a sudden just stopped, similar to Boydy...I suppose some disappearances would have been attributed to other circumstances...but some have been found here

Now that you mention it, yes. Who knows mate. If I dropped dead tomorrow there'd be no one I know coming here to explain why I wasn't about. Not that I'm suggesting that's the reason but it's one of many possibilities.

i do remember Bionic, then like you say disappeared in a puff of smoke!!...anyway new site, new users and fingers crossed most of the users from the old site see the light join up here and at least give it a go!!....as mentioned before im getting used to things here and so far so very good...

This thread turned nasty suddenly! Did I miss something or is there some animosity from TPFP carried over onto here?
DMN8 appears to have left the building now, so it seems that the harmony has been restored.
FWIW, the posters who came over only after TPFP closed ARE refugees. Something terrible happened to your country, so you had to move elsewhere quickly. It doesn't mean that you will not be accepted in your new home, but you do need to respect the traditions and culture of the place need to be learnt and respected. Many of us are immigrants, who could see the discrimination and disintegration of our former home coming and moved on, and we had to go through the same process. And the indigenous inhabitants of this place will eventually grow to respect all of us and accept that our presence, for the most part, enlivens and enrichens the debate.

Mate - you've got to be kidding!!! From what I've seen, you've been the aggressor in many cases: no wonder people have replied to you in the manner they have.
I'm also one of those TPFP "refugees", and I've had no issues with anybody on BigFooty (apart from a few eccentric Crows fans on other forums). As good as TPFP was, I'm enjoying BigFooty a bit more, because of the vast variety of forums - both Port Adelaide and otherwise. For instance, I'm enjoying visiting the forum of the team the Crows are playing each week, and wishing them all the best against the Fruit Tingles
Hi all. You're probably wondering what a Richmond supporter is doing in this thread.
Just thought I'd add that I actually had an account on TPFP from 2007 (or 08/09, don't remember but it was a fairly long time) until it closed. Didn't post much but often read, same with this forum. I've always watched Port closely due to a couple of players, so I've spent plenty of time reading that site and this board as well. For the most part I thought TPFP was pretty good (especially with all the info/articles) but then again I didn't know about anyone getting the arse for little to no reason. I've posted on this board a few times in the last couple of years & each time I felt welcomed and people listened to my view. I'm a Tigers man, so I'm pretty sure Port fans would be welcomed with open arms. I've always found you guys to be one of the better bunch of supporters on this site.
And we can all agree that Troy Chaplin is shit.

Went by Jamo on there. My last post on there was probably two years ago now...only had about 40-50 odd posts to my name.
I remember Kal I think it was who was also a Tigers supporter who'd post there, mainly on the soccer forum as a Melbourne Victory fan.

Yes...I think Kal was the one. Just the occasional post. Buster was a fair contributor who enjoyed a bit of banter. Would get the odd hater, but he would just ignore them

There was also a Bombers fan who posted on TPFP some years ago. Was his user name bomberjack or something similar? There were not that many fans from other clubs on TPFP but those who posted were good value. I am never wary of opposition supporters as it is good to get an informed opinion from the other side. If they opposition trolls go over the top I simply ignore them. I would like to post on the Crows forum but as they are xenophobic tossers and I have already been cited by some guy with the word 'drugs' in his user name I no longer bother.
That idea of going onto the forum of the next club Adelaide are playing and wishing them well sounds good though.
