Yes its a long title I know, but let me explain why I raise this question.

The other week I decided to listen to "Escapology" right through, from track 1 to the end. And on it was a song called "Love Somebody", which I heard for the first time right then and thought "Thats a great song". I think its streets ahead of "Feel", which was released as a single and did very well. However "Love Somebody" wasn't released at all.

So do you have any songs that were on albums, but weren't released as singles that you feel should've been?

Ummm, were Electioneering or Exit Music For A Film by Radiohead released as singles??

Ummm, Sunspots from the latest Nine Inch Nails album would be a decent single, or in that case Love Is Not Enough or Every Day Is Exactly The Same.

It was a single in Japan, but Oasis should released 'Dont Go Away' as the 1st single off of Be Here Now in all other markets. It was one of the few tracks on that album that relied more on melody and songwriting then just production tricks and guitar overdubs. Instead they went with the pompous, overly produced 'D'You Know What I Mean?' and the album became known as a cocaine fuelled exercise in excess. Which was sad because when you scratch the surface some of the best songs Noel Gallagher has ever written are on that record.

Anything by Led Zeppelin.

IIRC, Hot Dog, off their final (second last??) album, In Through The Out Door, was the first single they released.

Here Comes The Sun really stands out as a song not released as a single. I suppose the idea of George having 2 #1 singles out of the measily 2 cuts per record he was allowed, was a little much for Lennon and McCartney to take

May infact be the next single taken from With Teeth as the sticker on the cd reads "Includes The Hands That Feeds, Only & Everyday Is Exactly The Same".

Were The Hands That Feed & Only actually released here in Australia on single?

I've always thought that MUZZLE off Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness (Smashing Pumpkins) should've been a single.
Then again, I dont buy singles so I dont really care.
