Speaking from the lofty heights of Mt Middle Aged that I live on, IF this were true Id like to smack him around the head and tell him he's 23!! 23 son, dont make life changing decisions for a girl arrrggghhhhhh
Maybe it's for his girlfriend's sake that he's doing all this? Which is very admirable - if true.

We can look on the situation from a hundred different angles and arrive at 100 different solutions for Allen's problems but nobody here knows what is really going on (obviously that's not going to stop us from judging him :(). I doubt we will ever know but I seriously hope that the club has been advising AC on this all through its various stages. Whatever conclusion he arrives at, I hope it's the best one, for his sake. As you said- he's only 23. So, so much life yet to be lived and I hope he doesn't regret whatever decisions he makes.

Having said that- I hope the club plays hardball and that he doesn't slip away to Qld or WA. They don't deserve him!! We DO!!

He is a star already and only 23. He would work into your midfield. Geelong have said first rounder or ready made like for like replacement. That is his worth. If it isn't met by a club, then I think they let him go to the draft - a fate he will not be so keen on, I imagine.
Zero chance. We aren't idiots.
Geez I'm sure that would go down well with the playing group.

ok, ok, ok

I've got a plan.
This woman who has had the baby is going to need support.

So I suggest Geelong looks after her financially, relocates her to QLD, gets her a nanny, and Bundy stays in Geelong.
Easy peasy

:D
Apparently the girl in question was working in Lara won't say where, few of the workers and friends and family of the girl are making his life a bit harder due to the circumstances. Bundy is looking to move up ASAP and the GF in December.

Even if he didn't it would give Guthrie a better chance of doing so, who is arguably a better user anyway.
Thats the way I see it as well, he is a run with who can get 25 touches a game himself... thats pretty bloody handy.

And it would give the chance for Guth to have a serious dip with the shackles off

I had a bad dream last night where we finished up with Schoenmakers, please some one tell me that could never happen.
Check your temperature. I'd say you've got a raging fever and need to be hospitalised.
At least if we got Clangers, he could play in the VFL. I reckon what would be worse would be getting Lake in to replace Lonners- and playing him!

jeez, not sure why everyone's jumping on S.Selwood; I know he's the skippers lil' bro but I just don't rate him all that highly; just an average AFL mid.
You might have noticed that we kinda need a few "average AFL mids", especially ones who can both get the ball and shut down opposition players.

I'd suggest that Lonergan hasn't shown a lot more at AFL level than the unknown pick #15, at this stage. Thirteen games in two seasons, four where he's been vested and eight games with 11 disposals or less (his career high is 17) seems pretty modest for a midfielder to me.
Caddy wasn't much more impressive as a Sun.

As I said before, he should just harden the 'F' up and move to Melbourne, travel to and from training/games. It is really that simple.

Sounds like we're dealing with a lot of "mature" people here, Christensen included

Why? Why go north and not to Melbourne or Torquay?
Exactly what I'd like to know?

If it's the fresh start he wants, away from the city of Geelong, and is willing to help Geelong FC out, why not let Geelong FC get the most it can from any interstate team?

One area where Scooter would really help us out is with defensive pressure - his career ave is 5.5 tackles per game, this year he ave 5.0 and only 4 Cats ave more than that - Selwood, Burbury (gone), Johnson & Guthrie. If he returns to his 2013 form where he ave 25.6 disposals, 4.6 marks & 7.9 tackles per game it would be a great help through our midfield.
so we all talk about how great varcoes defensive pressure is, his career average is 3.5 tackles a game, scoot scoots is 5.5.

varcoes best year was 2010 he averaged 16 disposals, 3.6 marks and 4.1 tackles

we seem to overrate anyone that wears a geelong jumper, and varcoe is one of the main ones
