I thought it would be interesting to see, how the concession system would work.

We'll have a trade period of 1 week where players and picks can be traded, including GC17. The twist however... is that the draft picks will be done like the 2010 draft, including GC17 Concessions..... the draft will be done imediately after the trade period.

To make sure GC17 have a full squad of 44.... i will recieve 2 players from each club. The players willbe one above 25 and one player below 25, however, you must choose you 3 best players at the club you have, and i cannot take any of those 3.

First in best dressed as usual.

surely by taking the 4th and 5th best players from other clubs (by way of teams only being able to protect their best 3 players) GC17 will end up with a ridiculously unrealistically good team.

for example, going by this method you could get:
from cats: joel corey and joel selwood
from hawks: sewell and cyril rioli
from carlton: one of murphy/gibbs/kreuzer and nick stevens

In many teams the 4th and 5th best players are still absolute guns. I think you need more limits on the players you can take from other teams.

how about top 4 players can't be picked, but..... remember you don't hvae too choose the best 4 players, just the 4 you want to keep...

ie.... geelong keep....corey, ablett, mooney and bartel

scarlett is better than mooney, but they need mooney more

and also rememer that some teams such as melbourne have 3 players worth getting....

ie.

1: McDonald
2. Bruce
3. Bate
4. Miller
........ who is left?

I disagree with your Scarlett vs Mooney comment as I think Scarlett is a more required player than Mooney. Nevertheless, going by those rules, GC17 could still pick Scarlett and Selwood from the Cats - which I think is very unrealistic. I reckon there are a lot of teams where the top 10 (or more) players will be off limits to GC17. From what I understand about GC17 draft allowances (and I admit I don't know a lot about it), they will have access to uncontracted players from other clubs. Surely most clubs will have the majority of their core team on contracts when the GC17 draft rolls around.

just a game mate... just to try it... most of it is about the picks.... the rest is just to back them up :thumbsu:

you in to play tho?

in response to your melbourne comment, I would take nathan jones or wonerammi (spelling??) from the dees. They are both great upcoming players who have the potential to be guns and would be a steal if GC17 had access to either of them. So I think that even the dees have more than 4 players they would want to keep and would be furious to lose them to GC17.

also remember that i can only take one player above 25, so it's impossible to take those 2

These are the GC17's preffered players, you now must tell me which four players, i can't have
