Imagine having Carlton’s list. Outside of Simpson, Docherty, Kreuzer, Cripps, Murphy, Curnow they’re either recycled hacks from other clubs or young kids.

Has to be one of the worst lists I’ve seen. Ever. Sos has sold them up the river getting most of them Gws rejects in. For every Marchbank there’s two Plowman and Phillips.
Sumner and Jaksch were write offs, as were Jed Lamb and Palmer.

I think Plowman and Marchbank were worth the punt as high draft picks not getting a go in a top four side and suffering homesickness. Both might work out.

I remember though the deal that netted four of them for a pick in then 20s. There was some thought that they wanted Plowman and GWS insisted on the others because they were required to drop the number in the list. Most have predictably gone nowhere.

No intel at all, but my gut feel is that we’re playing the long game with josh Kelly.
Securing Kelly would go a long way towards giving us silk. I genuinely rate him as one of the most talented players in the competition and, unlike a lot of naturally talented players, he actually works hard.

Agree. just signing for two years says he's not overly committed to GWS.

Just a feeling though. Was hoping he's a FA but no. Tough to do a trade that didnt cripple us too even if he is out of contract.

Imagine we are relying on Bont a fair bit.

A deal for Kelly??? 2 first rds you'd think.

Anyone watch the NFL draft? Live trading of picks really allows for some flexibility and I’m all for it.

If a player is still on the board and a team is desperate to get him, they come knocking and pay overs.

Hope they bring it in for this year
I like the idea but does it mean the draft runs for as long as the Super Bowl?

Weitering is starting to smell like a bust for a #1 pick aswell.

Blowing those high first rounders really hurts. They're meant to be guys you build around and he's only ever looked like an adequate 3rd defender so far.

Would run over 2 days but would also include the rookie draft.

Long time but I love that stuff so I’m all for it.

The other game changer will be allowing the trading of draft picks only from the end of the trade period til the draft. That will allow the smart operators time to really strengthening their position.

Just have to hope Power is a smart operator but I have a feeling he is

What would people be happy to pay Adelaide’s Tom Lynch? 550k?

Lynch - Schache - Dale
Lipinski - Boyd - Resting mid

He makes that structure look a hell of a lot better. Hope we can have a real crack at him, or draft a small pressure forward.
Absolutely, if we paid Trengove $500k to be a backup in a position we are already stacked, this makes total sense.

Would be a good bridge before Dickson retires and Lipinski is up and running.

Question is how we get him without a 2nd rounder (obviously we have 2019 2nd rounder but I’d like him to avoid 2 years in a row of no 2nd round)

I reckon he is. Offers somehring we currently don’t have unless Wallis or Macrae or resting up fwd.

He’d be an upgrade on Dunkley, let’s Dunks play mid.
Dunks is an interesting one . Think long term I'd like to see him model his game off of Sydney's Kennedy. Neither are great kicks but both are monsters and Kennedy is a reasonable kick now after years of work.

I believe Kelly will be unrestricted in two years
Norfies think he's a done deal to them.

Imagine their angst - make that righteous indignation - if he came to the Dogs!

Which position is Trengrove a walk up start?
Why did we recruit him?
Who is responsible for paying 500k
Cast offs unless their A graders like Mitchell or Buddy Sbould never demand so much.
If our recruiters are being overwhelmed ,by free agency they are not doing the club service.

Maybe that’s why Dal & McCartney both left.....

Great call has the body size and the temperament to be a Kennedy type player.
