Can’t get a run at games with us (a bottom 4 team) due to injury or form

He is worth next to zero.
And as a free agent he costs zero for a club, some club will want him. If Dawson Simpson, Vickery, O'Keefe,Phllips, Lobbe etc can find homes I am sure he can too, shit big men with some fprevious form tend to find a home.

Lol well there you go

Still think he will struggle he did get dropped at one stage and I don’t see what others do but happy to see another year from him.
He didn't get dropped, he played first 10 games in seniors then has been injured since.

So according to this thread our trade period will go something like this

Boyd and pick 3-5 to Carlton for pick 1
Rough to somewhere for 2nd rounder
Campbell to Suns for 2nd rounder
Dahl to Geelong for late 1ts rounder
Wallis to Carlton for pick 3-5 we gave them.
Jong to Essendon for 2nd rounder
Daniel to anywhere for 2nd rounder

We then bring on Lecossish(or however you spell it)
West
Gaff
McGovern
Shiel
Khamis
The King brothers
Rankine

Not a bad trade period

No team is trading anything more than a 3rd rounder AT VERY BEST for Rough.

Playing like a spud, NOT A NUMBER ONE RUCKMAN, and injury prone.

If anyone offers a 3rd(which is basically nothing) we should take it and run

That's what I am saying, other clubs don't have to trade anything, he is a free agent, some club will take a punt on a free hit which will likely result in a compo pick third rounder for us if we don't take on a free agent.

From what I heard about Lukosius- I reckon we would be a big winner in that deal.

Carlton do need a ruck though. Kreuzer is always injured and Phillips is unlikely to be their future ruck.
The word on the Carlton board is that the club has high hopes for Phillips, although his injury history ins't very encouraging. Either way, I don't think Boyd is the answer to the question.

3rd rounder will be useful for points for West and Khamis. If we can get that in free agency compo for him I’ll be happy

I hope we keep Biggs. It’s not like he’s old and he’s an AFL standard defender when in form.

Or maybe I’m just holding onto 2016 Biggs and that’s never coming back.

Second hand info
4-6 players have been informed they wont be playing at dogs next season and will look to trade them
Roarke, Lynch and Gowers move to senior list
Will hayes and Rueben william will be strongly looked at in the rookie draft
Are wallis and dahl on your list or is it only tradeable guys?

I’m not seeing any mature VFL ruckman who would be better than Rough or Campbell. WAFL or SANFL might be options but who would move to Victoria just to be a break glass options? I’d rather at least keep one of them.
We should get Darcy Cameron from Sydney he was the number one ruck at the same WAFL club as Tim English
and kicked over 40 goals that year. He is killing it in the NEAFL at the moment, we may have to push big Tim
back out to the wing though where he belongs.

Problem with your trade scenario is that Carlton believes they have young tall forwards covered - Harry Mackay at FF with Charlie Curnow at CHF. Also have young Tom De Koning and Pat Kerr in the VFL who the club is bullish on.
Also can't forget that Carlton were super heavy into Tom back when he was looking to come home. Signing with the Dogs over the club he supported a kid (and who from all reports bent over backwards to 'bring home') apparently put a few noses out of joint. Personally couldn't see it happen unless something too good to refuse was put on the table.

Always appreciate your well informed posts here. Good to have a quality opposition fan adding value to our discussion.

So assuming that Carlton hangs onto pick #1, who do you see your mob picking? Rankine? Walsh??

Sounds like you are OK for quality tall forwards. Curnow will be a beauty.

TBH DR, there's no real clear messaging from the club or even from in the know posters on here. Might have a better idea closer to the end of the season. Considering the club's onfield performances, it has nothing else to do until season's end than run through every possible draft / trade scenario one hundred times over.

Sam Walsh if Carlton draft and that's a big if, very loyal grounded kid.

If the club don’t trade or delist the following players at years end after giving them next to no games this year they actually have no idea why they are doing.

Biggs
Campbell
Jong
Roberts
Rough

Honey has got enough games to think they will kee him AGAIN FOR GOD KNOWS WHAT REASON.

And if I was Collins Dickson Dale and Webb I’d be nervous also
I think Dale will be fine. Can’t do much with Roberts and Webb - they’re contracted. If it wasn’t a consideration I’d add Redpath to that list.

So Wallis is equal with Gowers for goals per game (1.3, he has 15 from 12 games) and is equal first with Bont and McLean for total goal assists (9). He's going at 71.4% goal kicking accuracy. Also 5th in the team for tackles per game.

Midfielder Wallis I wouldn't mind losing. I'm quite liking specialist forward Wallis, though.

Absolutely. We'd better get onto signing him up soon. And he's kicked 15 goals 2 behinds this year, so goalkicking is much better than 71%.

Got the goalkicking stat from the Dogs website, I assume they include shots on goal that fail to register a score when calculating the %.

Wonder if Port would be keen on BTC. Ryder getting a few injuries this season, may continue with his age and no other ready made ruck at the Power. Worth a late second or third perhaps.
