I am so wrapped ATM but.....
I now have to explain it to my son who idolises Griffen
Mate i have a framed poster in the garage to throw out, cost $200 to frame, and a guernsey with 16 on the back that I'm hoping gets handed over to Boyd.

What number was he at GWS??

Getting Boyd will improve our membership, our gates and our profile. This bloke is so marketable its huge for us and him. By the way Barrett only got shirty with GWS because he'd been given the heads up that the deal was imminent, that's how the media works.

We've paid an amazing price for a potentially amazing played. But now the real challenge starts. Can we properly develop Boyd into the star we need him to be? Can we get him the right coaching support to get the best out of him? Do we need a full time forward coach with credentials to suit? We can't afford to risk this valuable asset on the field without support. Jones walked partly because he was a lone target, we can't do the same with Boyd during his formative first 50 or so games. So how do we surround him with the on field support to take the pressure off him and maybe take a key defender, stop him from being double teamed etc. We have Boyd - amazing - but now we need to insure we do the right thing by him and our own investment and do everything it takes to develop Boyd.
TBH, it would be worth discussing with Jones whether he wants to stay.

Macca gone, Boyd to join him in the forward line.

We have become an incredibly tasty landing place today!!!

If he just left for ca flag and didn't make a song and dance about it the way he did i'd keep any griffen stuff. Just like one of my favourite AFL moments is seeing Lake receive a premiership medal and norm smith. I was wrapt for the bloke. It was a great story for me. Went through the heart ache we all did but got it in the end.

But this guy? FOAD I hope you do your back you $%$% lol

I'm not sure about the finer points of the mini-draft, but why was Hogan taken, not him?
Too old or too young.... Either way, he is the best KPF seen since in J Brown seen in Victoria. If he doesn't get injured we have the power forward other team will have to respect and double team.

Okay now lets move Cooney and pick 45 for Harper and pick 36. If Jones still want out move him and Tutt on for another pick, take 26 and 27 to the draft. Offer up 36 for Walker.

Was it Smorgon a couple of years ago that said we would be going after the expansion teams after they raided Ward and Harbrow?

Judgement day finally arrived then. Dave must be cracking open a bottle of Veuve or whatever he drinks.
We got who we wanted but we didn't exactly win. Very happy to get Big Tom but we paid a massive price.
Please don't have knees like Jonny Patton

As it stands, we have only done ONE trade transaction - Tom Boyd to GWS for Pick 6, Griffen and salary concession to pay Griffen's contract for next season.

Does this mean we have two second round picks (one ours and the other the compensation pick for Higgins)?
