Agree, can see him taking Pickens spot in a few years. Like him as a small shutdown defenders whose quite competent going to the other way too. Definitely a place for him, just needs some luck now.

A perfect structured backline for me looking forward would be something like

Pearce, Roberts, Cordy
Darley, Talia, JJ

Can swap a few names in and out but looking more at the types of players there its got everything. Small lock down to take the best small forward in Pearce (handy that he's got a little bit of an offensive game as well), Roberts and Talia taking the talls, Cordy 3rd tall and can chop out on a small or tall when needed, the lethal boot from Darley and the run and carry from JJ.
That may be the clubs aim who knows - but that would spell danger imo.

Imagine that backline against buddy and Tippett - just don't think Talia or Roberts are going to be able to handle the monstors. Talia or Roberts to Hawkins would be slaughtered.
Also not keen on jj in deep defence where his poor decision making is exposed - plays much better off a wing or high half fwd like he did at vfl level this year - don't want him to have to think too much.

So given this is a list management thread if roughy is not in your backline your have to start thinking about getting another bloke in to play on beasts imo

Glad to see that Pearce will be put down to the rookie list. A lot of people have wraps for him, but he didn't deserve to keep a senior spot I wouldn't have thought. Hopefully his body stays fit and he can kick on next year!
I think he's probably a forward more than a defender too.

I hear Freo are looking at taking Foster in there pick in the 50's. Will be disappointed if his not a doggies player next year.
I will SPEW UP if we don't get Foster .He will be the next James Stewart my Pies mates are still upset he's playing at the scum GWS .We should have Rookied him last year and now he is free game for any club in the the land.

Stewart's played 3 games of footy - looks likely but wouldn't be jumping off the Westgate just yet pie fans!

As for foster if he was worthy of being a rookie last year someone else would have taken him.

We have had him in our back pockets and development programs enough to know better than any other recruiters so can only put faith in their judgments.

The romantic in me says it would be awesome having another fossie on the list even if just a rookie.

As will I but for the kids sake I prefer he gets drafted than we get him as a rookie. If he doesn't get drafted then I would love him at the Dogs as a rookie. We had our chance and didn't take it, so it's just bad luck. A bit selfish if we hope he doesn't get drafted. It's a kid, who's desperate to get on a list. If you were him what would be preferable, picked up in the draft, or rookies athe club your dad played for?

This just in: the size of Tom Boyd's contract has forced budget cuts in a variety of departments. Cameras are the worst-hit department, with the downgrading from Nikon D750s to potatoes already beginning.
Might be slightly harsh here, but is the potato in front of the camera, behind the camera - or is it actually acting as the camera ??? I can't actually tell - or is that just the cropping ?

Because if it's the latter, that's a pretty good photo using a potato !! Who needs an iphone ?

What is the problem with this photo?

Boyd is taking a mark, mostly out of frame, while Hamling is in the centre of the photo. It's just that he is side on.
